Indoor pH runoff of Pro-Mix

I fill mine right to the top when I transplant, tamping it down lightly. Usually come harvest time the level in the pots has dropped by about 3/4 to 1". By that time it's compacted but I think it's more the pot being totally full of roots than the Pro Mix itself actually being compacted. I use BX for seedlings and used it after transplant when I ran HPS lights. Since switching to LEDs I now use HP instead. It hold a little less water than BX and seems to work better for less heat intensive forms of lighting.
