Ok so here's the deal. I've got 2 gorilla glue auto growing right now. I'm using Dynasty black matter super soil. I was ph at 6.3 had a magnesium deficiency. But was using cal mag. . It was suggested I run 6.5 ph and so I have switched to that. It doesnt seem to be getting any better. My run off is high 7. How do I get my soil to stabilize at 6.5 to avoid the lockout? Cheers

Hmm the runoff method does throw up some funny results.
If 6.3 goes in and high 7 comes out.that suggests pot/soil ph of middle 8 :frowny:
Middle high 5’s new feeds me thinks
Good luck n keep er lit

So your thinkin I should set my ph to like 5.8 to balance it out? I have 2 photos running dame soil same ph and they lucius green. But the autos are being difficult as usual.

Thats the theory.....but if you have 2 lush plants, all feeds the same.the autos should be happy to.
Could be worth doing another test.

Runoff tests really aren't accurate with a soil mix.
Try a slurry test of the soil itself. Equal parts soil and distilled or RO water. Let set as long as it takes to get runoff when watering, and check ppm and pH.
When I run soil, I try and have the pH climb throughout the run, starting around 6.2 and moving up to between 6.5 and 6.8 as the need for p & k increase, as well as the increased need for calcium.

Once you have an accurate pH #, buffering up or down can be done with the appropriate amendment.

Good old Arthur I feel like your always coming to my rescue Haha. As per our last convo I jumped my ph to 6.5. Honestly I feel like it's gotten worse. The last 2 feeds have been just water and cali-magic. Looking at the one in particular I feel she continues to get worse. This is my first go with super soil. I had started feeding 1/4 strength Medi one and Ocean magic. I wonder if the addition of nutes to pre amended soil is what started all this. Because I know it's a mag thing I was going to mix some Epsom salts in with tonight's water. Think that might make a difference? Cheers
