Well, if you followed this thread, you know that after several very successful grows everything seemed to go very wrong producing sad, weak, under-produced plants. Well after tons of trial, error, and tons of advice it turns out everyone was right from the get go and i had some pH problems that went diagnosed because of faulty pH testing.

So, here we go again. I think I have the pH issue figured out and am now heading into some new territory to re-harness the power of Mephisto.

Two plants in the hopper now: Sour Crack and Grape Crinkle

I am stoked about both. I am excited to see what i can do with the Sour Crack with good pH and nutes and all that. And given the grows and reports of Grape Crinkle here on AFN, my excitement should be obvious.

Set up:

Lights: Mars Hydro 144 x 3 reflector series
Soil/Grow Medium: Bio Bizz Light Mix
Nutes: BioBizz

This is my first time using BioBizz, so I am also keen to see how that works, too.

I am a few weeks late on the journal, the ladies are about 22 days from sprout and looking healthy. Due to travel, I actually gave the first feeding last night. I think waiting 20 or so days to feed, might have helped. I can't help but wonder if i rushed early on that last grow and caused some burn, then other issues following??

Anyway, here they are. Not the greatest pictures, but wanted to go ahead and get the thread up and running.

Okay I'm pulling up a chair I have some grape crinkle but cant drop for another 6 weeks tents tied up.
I hear it's fire and the smoke is suppose to be very lovely you will find out before me!
Well good luck on your grow yeah that pH can kick butt I have to keep a tight rein on mine that's the problem growing with nutes I'm working on going organic just would be easy for me. I'm not into pushing a plant mine I know could give me more but I'm afraid of the bottled nutes.

Well here is an update on things. Overall, this grow is going smoothly, especially compared to the last one. No nute burn, no pH problems (I think), leaves look green and plants healthy.

My only issue/concern is that while these plants look better than the last grow, they still lack that SUPER robust body that my first few Mephisto grows had. I had to travel, so was late on an early feeding. Also, the first few grows were with Sunshine mix, which has more start up nutrients than does the Biobizz.
I would welcome any thoughts on this matter.

So here are some pics. First the ladies also with a Dutch Passion Star Ryder, which is about 55 days old. You can see from a few fan leaves that I was still working out the kinks and had some early Cal/Mag issues. . Biobizz doesn't really have much Cal/Mag, so I have been using GO cal mag .izz

Speaking of biobizz, this is my first time using these nutes. I would be curious to hear other perspectives and experiences using biobizz - as you can read, my previous grows were with General Organics and Roots Organics.

Grape Crinkle:

22 inches tall. 34 days old. These aren't the best pics, but she's showing lots of frost and you can smell that grapey, fruity, goodness already.

I gotta say that I love this stage of growth. I'll get some more pics, but I feel like less that 24 hours post feeding both plants have added height and bulk, so to speak!

yeah, the pH issue is my municipal water supply, it has varied a lot this summer ranging from near 8 to 5.5. . As for nutes, I am growing with organic nutrients, still bottled, etc, but they are organic. But even organic nutes, you have to be careful. I found that to really be the case with Roots organics, some doses you'd need to dial back on feedings from what the schedule would tell you. The Biobizz so far seems pretty straightforward and doesn't push to hard, so to speak.
