Ph in biobizz light mix

It
Yes I'm sticking with the all-mix schedule instead of light-mix schedule (well, I'm a newbie, they should know their stuff, so I trust 'em). Basically the all-mix schedule is a little lower in N than the light-mix, that's it. In case I will see sign of N deficency I will bump up the BioGrow a little. They also advice to give nutrients every watering, so I will. Hopefully I will arrive to the harvest... :)
It makes Sense because I showed my plant on here and some said it was a n lock out gave it to n and to just water it and it did get better, thanks mate

Hi everyone, I’m growing in biobizz light mix and for my second grow I wanted to buy a ph pen and ph up and down, my question is, am I wasting my money buying a £70 bluelab pen,I’ve read a lot that I don’t need to ph in soil, im using bottled biobizz nutes, please can you tell me what you think, thanks

a £10 or £20 ph pen will be a complete waste of money in the long run.i randomly test my ph with a £60 pen,but never feel the need to adjust the ph.do you live in a hard water area ? shite tea/furry kettle ?
my thoughts on ph pens......if the plants look nice ya dont need one.If you run into any issues whatsoever, dont even think about anything untill you know for a fact what the ph is.completely useless 90% of the time, but for that one time its needed its a life saver.
biobizz allmix can sometimes be a tad too strong for autos.(especially the first month)
biobizz dont have a schedule for autos just photoperiods,so the biobizz schedule is a bit off to start with if growing autos.a schedule is just a rough guide, dont be scarred to adjust it to suit your needs.
biobizz site has a great FAQ section.
good luck n keep er lit

Living over the largest aquafer in the southeast USA, and in a large farming community, you'd think the usual well drawn water would be excellent...not so here, I grew for years 60 miles north of where I grow now...well water...never ph'ed...never noticed a prob. After moving and on a different well water, found water ranged from 5.7- 6.0 and at times really stunted everything cannabis, although everyone around has
the most bountiful crops and gardens.... Although bio bizz buffers a bit, it just didn't adjust enough...
Retired from a national chemical company where we always tested water at manufacturing sites so chemicals could be formulated to work best with local water as the distributing vehicle.....you wouldn't believe how different water is from region to region....
Water is always changing...ph at least.

How wrong u all are!!!.biobizz lightmix is the way forward.pure magic for plants.and does buffer itself to keep itself and ur plant. in ph perfect range.also if u dig deep on biobizz research ul find biobizz lightmix is designed to work best with ph perfect feed.combine the 2 outstanding performance everytime.well flawless infact.look at any of my grows;) trust the soil .no more organic than that.these are my current photoperiod girls.all in biobizz lightmix.all fed just plain water for first 21 days on life, less is always best;) .then hit them with advanced nutrients sensi grow ph perfect feed.then switched to bloom, sensi bloom and mollases.here the results today, pics dont lie;) hope this helps a grower keep it oldschool and organic.and most important green;) oh yea no ph pen here ,or ph up or down ,never used anything thing.oldschool selftaught grower here;).the soil has u in check ,eyes only;) try and see;)

Hi mate thanks for your reply, I live in London not tested the ph of the water so I don’t really know, think I’ll get a decent ph pen now just so I know

Hi Crowkill, I'm growing two autos in biobizz light mix and biobizz nutes. I contacted Biobizz about some issue going on with one of my plants and they adviced to correct the ph of the water (you can find the reply here)

My idea is that yeah, probably you can get away without ph-ing the solution if the soil buffers the ph, it will depends on how hard and what ph is your water. But if you can afford the ph pen don't risk to waste a month of growind and the cost of the seeds.

Good luck !
Hi mate, do u water inbetween feeds still, I think it’s a good idea but I see biobizz doesn’t recommend it

Every watering with nutes, see the biobizz reply here:

HI everyone, I contacted biobizz about those issue with the Fat Banana. Big up for those guys for the prompt response, and also to @Master_gRoshi that took a look and replied me in chat.

For reference to anyone using biobizz nutes I paste here the mail, there are some interesting take away:

From what we can see, it looks like your plant would benefit from a bit more phosphorus…

When growing auto strains with Biobizz, we actually recommend to plant them in Light·Mix and use our Nutrient Schedule for All·Mix. In this way, we give lower doses of nitrogen, but maintain the P and K input with full dose of Bio·Bloom.

Keeping the full dose of Top·Max is also very important, as this flowering stimulator helps the plant absorb the nutrients you give in each watering and transport them to all the parts of the plant.

Also, as you mentioned, we recommend to use the Biobizz products in every watering. As you have skipped feedings, the plants may be a bit underfed.

We also recommend to adjust the pH of the nutrient mix (Biobizz products + water) to the optimal range of 6.2-6.5 right before watering.

If you want to help your plants recover sooner, you can always add a bit of Alg·A·Mic to the nutrition plan and help them get back to their green and lush state.

With these adjustments and a bit of patience, your plants should recover and become

healthy and productive again J

Also see here:

Hope this help you and your plants mate!

Unless you're a large scale hydro grower, I think pH drops are more reliable. The range the plant wants is not so large you can't learn to recognize the colors of solution that make it happy.

The reason I say this is that chemical drops NEVER go out of calibration; I've owned 4 different pH pens and they were always ALL wrong unless calibrated very frequently.
