I usaully knock if over every couple of weeks, I have the bluelab brand as well as others. If you forget to put the pen back it will be fine once it rehydrates. Don't ever store in distilled water it will kill them.

I think the recommended fluid is KCL potassium chloride I use 3m KCL and change about every 5 or 10 uses. I havnt had a Pen long enough to really tell if its gonna make it last long though I have the Apera 60 with the changeable heads. Happy growing

Oh yeah, most stoners spill everything, so I change mine often...
