First time growing any suggestions for pesticides would be greatly appreciated

Neem oil is popular for many pests but a lot are insect specific. Got a particular problem you're trying to solve?

Nothing particular just got my first two sprouted got some gnats flying around in my tent trying to get a Jumpstart before I have a issue

I grow for medical reasons and use no pesticides. There are botanicals, organic biologicals, predators and mechanical methods for most every problem. The best solution is good cultural practices that prevent problems in the first place.

Fungus gnats are attracted to soggy pots that are over watered. Mosquito dunks are a bacterium that will control them. You can also get nematodes to eliminate them. I love the idea of an army of worms doing battle.

For gnats, use nematodes. Can be ordered online.

Predators are the way around chemicals.

Dunno why I haven't had gnats for years...might be the diametaceous earth and no pest strip sittin in the corner of my veg area that's renewed bout every 6 months. DE is used if necessary in the flower areas. The only time I've had any infestation was years ago with spidermites brought in from a friends infected grow and gnats brought in by poorly housed soils...that was enough for me...no problems since. Seems the veg area treatment kinda inoculates the plants for the flowering period...

You just have the DE just sitting in a bowl or something in the corner of the tent? I don't get the reasoning. Enlighten me, please.
The only time I ever sat out DE anywhere was offering it free choice to my pampered cattle for my consumption. LOL!
I can see how it could control some of the damn gnats, but I don't see how it can break their life cycle. That's key with any sort of pest control/elimination.

I read it as DE in the pot and pest strip in the corner?
