Photoperiod Perpetual with clones, two tents

Guys, I need some general information about photo plants and clones.
I have two tents and I want fasten harvest time with clones instead of autoflowers. Because summer will be quickly here and going 12/12 will be better choice. Also some electricy savings are always welcome.

So... One tent is 80x80 cm and other is 60x60 cm. With bigger tent I get 375g from two autos, so I want that yield with two photos too. Or better of course.
How long do I need to veg two plants to fill out that tent? 30 days, more, less? I will search for 49-56 days strain, I also have some F1 fast version from Sweet seeds, should be ready in 49 days of flowering. Or some WWxBB from Female seeds maybe. Any recommendations with real flowering numbers, strain choices?

Another question is about clones. If I take them just one day before flip to 12/12, I have around 49 days for vegging them. If I understand right, 14 days they develop roots and don't grow much? So I get 35 days for veg clones. Enough to fill 80x80 cm tent with two and then flip clones?

Have a 3x3 now with 4x50w cobs which is perfect for sog autos. Not very tall, not enough space to fit 4x decent med sized plants really unless it's packed. My thought was to get a 4x4 and run one of those new 315w cmh lights with the 4x50w cobs around it and either turn the 3x3 into a veg/mother room. Just thinking now that's a lot of electricity adding up there. I'm torn I have all these mephisto beans, but have wanted a bros Grimm c99/a13 for too long, and some bog sour bubble. Sorry I have nothing information wise to offer, just "with ya man"

Nothing wrong with that, welcome here. And good luck with your grow, should be nice tent with all that light. Tag me in when you'll start with diary.
I am just limited with 2 plants at the same time, otherwise I wouldn't asking here and let them grow as many as I would like. :smoking:

Subbed, we have the same idea!. I'm running clones as well for my photo tent.

I used to run two areas, one 1m x 1m for flowering, 400 W HID, about 8 - 9 weeks,
the other was only about 0.5m x 0.5m for vegging, 150 W HID, same time - take cuts, root and veg.
The veg area is just 1/4 the flowering area. The ratio of area was about right to run perpetual.

From your description of the two tents, 0.8m x 0.8m and 0.6m x 0.6m,
I think you'd be under-utilizing your veg space with just 2 plants (or even with just 4 plants).

How about, just a crazy idea: flowering in the 0.8m x 0.8m space,
use the 0.6m x 0.6m for 2 photo clones but also for a couple of autos ??

Just a thought....

Another way is to take cuts not while the mother is on 18/6 (or whatever you use for veg),
but to take the cuts maybe up to one week into veg.
In my experience, with the strains I was growing, they easily went back to veg mode in the veg room.

A lot will still come to strains, and whether they are best strains for single main cola or for branched / topped plants.

@Maria Sanchez I fill that small tent with two autos in 25-30 days. Then I move them to bigger tent (where I start scroging them) because I get out of space there.
Do photo plants grow slower than autos? Do clones, when already showing roots, grow slower than autos?

Okay, understand. I should have clarified -- I was growing organic in soil.
If you're running anything with non-organic nutes in soil,
or definitely if you're doing some sort of hydro, auto-pots, air-pots or whatever,
then the growth would definitely be faster.

Clone speed -- depends on a number of factors I guess.
Most people do quite small clones, so when they root in 14 days
they are about the same size and growth stage as a 14 day old seedling.
So not that much difference, I guess.

Though most clones tend to have more branching early on,
but even that depends on the age of the mother when they were taken,
and the shape / type of branch tip they were taken from.

I think the strain would be the big factor. Tight / long inter-node length,
and degree of branching.

You're welcome. You certainly know how to grow some kick ass autos!
Like a lot of grow spaces, often have to run it before you can work it out just right.
