Indoor Perpetual Hydro Grow on a Shoestring Budget

This will be a journal to keep the notes on my perpetual hydroponic garden, which I will grow on as small of a budget as I believe feasible.

The lighting used will be old fashioned 1000w HPS using Electrolux bulbs.

The containers will be black 5 gallon food safe buckets. I will utilize dual root zone gardening, growing coco coir on top of hydroton.

The buckets will contain a solution of MegaCrop, Photosynthesis Plus, & Liquid Karma. I will likely also use the MegaCrop brand of bloom booster and bud candy.

The seeds will all be crosses of well known strains which are not currently available to the public. My first grow will be "The Right Stuff" - ManBearAlienPig x (Green Crack x Grapefruit).

I will not be doing any shaping, topping, etc.

Follow if you like, this journal will be mostly for my notes.

Good article, it's been about 3 years since I did dwc last, so I needed the refresher. Need to remember hydroguard and calmag, I'm running one light with an air conditioner in the space, so temp and airflow should be good, reflective cover for the buckets is a good tip, thanks

Here is the setup:

6 black food safe 5 gallon buckets with basket lids (these still need to be cleaned)

5 (soon to be 6) aquarium bubblers, I believe these are the 60 gallon tank versions, they will each run 2 air stones per bucket

One air conditioner and 1000w ballast

One 1000w bulb (soon to be Hortilux)

I may add the bud candy and bloom booster by MegaCrop too, I haven't decided, lmk if you recommend or not, and why
