Grow Mediums Over/Underwatering in air pots

Hi guys I have an original amnesia auto from fastbuds in a 15-20l air pot that is around day 40 and starting to flower.

I noticed the last two times I watered with 2 litres the plant drooped badly for almost 24hrs each time. I have grown in air pots this size before and watered similarly without running into this issue. Whats strange is the pot is pretty dry when I water and 2 days later ready for more water. Any idea what may be causing this.

The temp of water isn't too cold i have checked this and I am growing in biobizz lightmix.

I didn't take a picture of the plant thats drooping but the first image which is a screenshot shows how the plant looked and second image is the stage the plant is at and taken before watering.

The airpot size may be your issue, inasmuch it's harder to know what's going on deep inside the pot where all the work is happening. I use 1 gal air pots and use a moisture meter that reaches to the center of the pot so feeding/watering is more accurate.

hi bro with it being a large pot can you lift her up before feeding next time once she feels like she's getting light feed her then but don't let her dry out also sometimes my plants droop before lights out if they know its approaching bed time

The thing is I lift and it is very light then watered with 2l and then it dries in 2 days.

What sort of issues generally arise when you let the pot get too dry? I think this could possibly be the issue because I let dry until plant started to slightly droop on both occasions could this prevent the plant from rehydrating as quick?

My habit to help hydration is a drop of household soap in my feed/water or spraying a soapy mixture on top of the medium so you water through it..... Been doing that for over 50 years for my yards, my bonzai and my weed too. Helps absorption of nutrients and resists hydrophobic stuff....
Look at where people wash their cars...greener grass....works for weed too. Makes ya wanna set ya plants beside ya car on car-wash day!

i grow in 6L airpots and feed 1-1.5L every 24 hours to a 3/4,fully grown plant.
lift it up before ya water,just after ya water,lift it up after 24 hours(maybe water it then) or come back and lift it up after 48 hours (lift up pot....the best technique of when to water/feed)
the droopy look of underwayered and overwatered are very similar (few subtle differerences) a few clues as weight of pot/feel of soil/smell of pot etc.
if its allways allways light,give it 4L and lift it up and down every 12 hours if ya can.
how much water/feed can 15-20L airpot with biobizz lightmix take to get 10% runoff ??? im guessing at 4+ litres ?
a too dry pot....you will nearly throw it over yer head when lighting.....plant symtoms...big droop,yellowing bottom 1/4 some turning brown and falling off dead.

Cheers man I was slacking off dont know how I managed to underwater I wasn't giving my plants proper attention must have been too busy enjoying my previous harvest

Its a lesson learned anyway im sure the pot will take 4 litres to get that much run off as gave 3l yesterday and there was a little run off.

I have to say I got off very lightly as just some of the older fans near the bottom showing deficiency didn't get too bad thanks everyone for the help much appreciated.

Hey man sorry to be bothering you its just I know you use or have used the biobizz range. I am at around day 50 with auto amnesia from fastbuds and plant is a pale green colour just want to get ahead of a problem coming later in bloom.

Run off ph is coming out at 6.5 and I have been going light on the feed up until last week so thinking this big girl could just be needing lots of nutes considering her size.

I have given a couple of feeds with 4 litres and plant has responded well after underwatering for a week or so between week 6 and 7.

I am noticing calmag deficiency starting to creep in and am currently at 2ml bioheaven, 1.5ml grow, 2ml bloom and 1ml calmag per l.

I am using cob led and plant has a large amount of flower sites and just finishing stretching so thinking calmag needs could be high at this stage. I usually do two feed and one water only but thinking if plant is needing more nutes this would be counter productive.

My thinking is if soil ph is ok then nute lockout can be ruled out which makes me think I should leave out the water only and continue to feed everytime
because water only will further deficiency.

Does my logic seem sound?

i may call it watering,but i feed every time.My logic being i dont have to remember if its a feed or a water coming up.Biobizz nutes are on the gentle side compared with some chem nutes,biobizz being organic (but it comes outa a bottle so not 100% on that)
the pale green lower 1/4 could be lack of N a lower chance it could be cal.mag...........but more likely a slight side effect to the lack of watering/feeding.
ph is fine,with biobizz if yer feed/water in is ballpark,runoff will be ballpark/PH dont go from 7 to 4 for no reason,if feed in is somewhere between 5.8 and 7.3 ya should never have a reason nor need to do a test more than once a grow.
bio heaven is expensive,have gone through 2 bottles and to be honest if or whatever it does aint worth 1/4 of the price tag.
i get lazy through the week,i water too quick causing some to spill over,some finds a crack and runs right out the bottom(fake runoff),some squirts me through a hole.At weekends i water/feed slower,could walk away half way through and come back again to finish.sometimes i can squeeze in an extra 0.5L into a 6L pot with minimal runoff.
but my key factor is weight of pot,keep lifting them up and down,before and after watering.soon you get a feel for a....
dry pot/and a pot with 0.5 /1/1.5/2/3/4L worth of water....ignore the plant size.keep lifting up and down the pots.
at that age think id be on 1.5 calmag.maybe a tad light on grow/bloom i dont know let me just consult a real rough schedule that i never look at
hmm calmag maybe not.....but every plant is differnt,so an extra 0.5 of calmag is fairly harmless,whang it upto 2ml for a week or 2 as calmag can be a hard one to chase after.

root juice...i dont rate it bottles empty getting no more.after my grow ran out i switched to fish mix.heaven i wasnt convinced so like an eejit tried a second bottle.tds was just me experimenting with a thing i got for £6 can be ignored in soil.
grower v stoner ratio G:S is it 4:1 or 1:4 ? stoner logic works for me.
