Strain: Sour Orange Diesel Kush x Alien OG
Soil: Dr. Earth homegrown vegetable garden planting mix. 1 cup perlite for every 3 cups of soil.
Container: 3.5 gallon (13.25 liter) htg supply knock off air pot.
Lights: 20/4 Area 51 led two rw-75 so 150 watts total
Nutes: General Organics Full line up.
Okay guys I'm finally back with another Mephisto grow! The test subject is SODK x Alien, the mission is to get some feminized seeds ohhh yeahhhh. The only change in my grow set up is the soil. I got tired of fox farms soil locking out my plants nutrients due to ph problems. So I found this Dr.Earth soil at my local nursery and figured I'd give it a try. It's full of a bunch of great things and no pine bark! So ph shouldn't mess with me this time. I will not ph my nutrient solution since it is all organic. If problems arise then I will check the ph from there on out. I'm going to layer the top of the soil with diatomaceous earth to kill anything that jumps on my soil and also help my plants with silica. I have already collected pollen from a previously reversed sibling. That pollen has been in my freezer for the past month so fingers crossed that this works. The father plant had lovely purple colors and smelled like pure grapefruit. When I walked into the room it smelled like I was juicing citrus fruits. Amazing smell to say the least. Im hoping that purple color passes on to the babies if this works. I will not be pollinating the whole plant. I'm going to select a few branches and dust those. Any tips or tricks as far as when to introduce the pollen are greatly appreciated. Since this is my first time doing this I'm going in blind. Stick around for the ride everyone! Here's my little helmet head now. I'll give her another day to push her shell of if not I'll take it off.
