Mephisto Genetics One Last Grow: Mephisto's Wedding, Chemdogging & Strawberry Nuggets

Update day 39
Things sure have gotten busy! Between the two biggest girls going to twice a day fertigation and using the new Zero Water filter to keep up ..., I've been staying fairly occupied! A few things I've noticed about PH since using filtered water: 1) PH adjustments require a lot less ph up or down. 2) The PH seems to settle out right around 6.0 using my current nutes, (which is changing). and 3) It takes a lot longer for my Aspera PH tester to decide on a reading. More times than not, it starts out around 5.2ish and works up from there to 6.0 over a 10 minute time span. Also, since I flushed the girls 18 hours ago, Mephisto's Wedding has looked hungry. I upped both the bigger girls to 3 1/2 grams per gallon yesterday, and then to 4 grams today, (plus I foliar fed after the flush). I'm going to spray them again later tonight with their 2nd feeding. As I stated in the above post the Strawberry Nuggets is finally starting to look a little better, but she's not ready for bloom nutes yet. So I'm going to mix up a separate jug of MegaCrop nutes and more or less start treating her like a soil grow, (gonna start out fertigating her every other day for now, and maybe going to every 3rd day). I've used the original MegaCrop nutes to way up in flower before with great results, but since I'm going to drip emitters soon ... I've decided to start them on Flora-bloom @ 7 1/2 ml per gallon, which I'll eventually back down to 5ml 2 to 3 weeks before harvest. I want to drive them as hard as possible to get the most harvest out of 2 plants. I also think there will be less of a chance of the emitters clogging up with Flori-bloom. So I took some of my not so great pics with my cheap Samsung A11 phone, Anyways, thanks for stopping by and if you have a grow going, shoot me a link and I'd be glad to follow your progress! I'm always down for learning new stuff about our fav plant! :pass:

Up first is Strawberry Nuggets. She has come back pretty good after another harsh round of defoliation & I was finally able to tie down a few of her stubby branches.

Next up is Mephisto's Wedding. She doesn't look as hungry now as she did yesterday, so I hope I caught it quick enough. She needs more fan leaves removed, but I had cut off some lower shoots and I didn't want to take too many fans at once.

Finally we have Miss Chemdogging. I also took out some of her lower sucker shoots and just a few fans. I'll be taking more off in the coming days, but she has a lot more of a hybrid look with thinner leaves and a more open structure.

Here's a couple group shots with Chemdogging on the left & Mephisto's Wedding on the right. I swapped them around because she's the tallest girl right now and the back MarsHydro light, (that isn't on yet), had the highest room for light adjustment. :peace:

Update day 43
There's been a couple changes since my last update. I got all the plants moved to their final grow spot and I decided to swap the Chemdogging and Mephisto's Wedding around because the MW has caught up in height. So I thought since she was stretching the most, than she would need to be under the light with the highest room for adjustment. The MW has also greened up pretty again! I was going to run lines and hook up some emitters, but I got to go to the hardware store to get some adapters for the inline filter I bought. Hopefully I'll get it hooked up within the next couple days, because hand watering is a bitch! I added Sensizym by Advanced Nutrients for the 1st time this grow, as it's suppose to break down any dead roots and other organic matter, (I use to worry that it would break down the coco, but never seen any bad results after use). I moved the humidifier to the old shower space and I also added my dehumidifier because it's been a tad too humid. I've had this problem in veg before, but never during flower, (as the MarsHydro TS-1000s usually kill a lot of humidity). I believe it is higher this grow because of the new drip pan I put under the whole grow. I use to catch the runoff in trays and suck them out with a wet vac, but now a lot of the runoff puddles in the pan and I'm pretty sure that's whats causing the higher humidity, (and the algae). I did get a lot of that out of there today, but I know it's just a matter of time before the algae is back! I also moved the fan to the top of the dehum, so now I don't have to worry about the fan drying the fabric pots out! I'm currently fertigating 2X a day with the PH @ 6.0 and TDS is @ 650. I have all the lights @ 24 inches above each plant @ max power, except the Strawberry Nuggets which is higher to encourage stretch. I also took a bunch of fan leaves off all the girls earlier today. Here's some poor azz pics that look like shit, so sorry in advance and thanks for stopping by! :pass:

Man, those are some healthy looking plants! :clapper:

Update day 51
The girls are still chugging along with the biggest two stacking on buddage! I am seeing some burnt tips on the Chemdogging, but I'm pretty sure it was caused by her feed being a little too hot! I've been feeding @ 7.5ml of Flora-bloom, which was fine until I added a weekly dose of Recharge. I noticed burnt tips a couple days later, so next time I know to back off the Flora-bloom if I'm going to add Recharge. Mephisto's Wedding took it in stride as she's been a little on the hungry side ever since I flushed @ the beginning of flower. Strawberry Nuggets has finally hit flower! I did another round of defoliating a couple days ago. Plus, I've almost got the pump and filter set up to start fertigating with emitters, but theirs one more part I'm going to try and get tomorrow. Anyways, I tried dimming all 3 lights before I took pics this time, but I don't think they do the girls justice. Thanks for stopping by and any and all comments, (positive or neg), are welcomed and appreciated! :pass:

Update day 53
Well I got both good and bad news! Good news first! I finally got the drip emitters set up and I only had one minor leak, (which was just a loose hose clamp). I put 2 emitters per pot on the big girls, but I didn't bother with the SN, as shes already elevated on a milk crate and it would throw off the pressure. It even works at a trickle with an open line without the pump on, so beforehand I added a cutoff valve to prevent draining the res. I used the old 3/8 tubing all the way to the edge of the pot and then went to 1/4 inch. With only 2 plants running, I was able to cut all the tubing the same length to ensure equal pressure. I also added an inline filter that can be changed or cleaned and I even got it all contained within the reservoir. So the small pump I'm using doesn't have to lift, it just flows out the bottom of the res like an AutoPot setup. Current nutrients and additives listed as I add them - per gallon.- 5ml Silica Blast,- 3ml Cal/Mag+ -7.5 ml Flora-bloom,- 12ml Terpinator, 1/2ml Sta-clean. PPMs are 900, (with the added Terpinator), and ph is 6.0 fertigating 2X a day.

Now for the bad news! I injured myself over a week ago and I'm diabetic with a lot of pain still in the leg that I skinned up. I went to the doctor Monday and they gave me antibiotics and ointment, said if it was no better in a couple days to see my VA dr for hospitalization for intravenous antibiotics. So I've been treating it 2x a day and it's really not much better. I have a VA appt. Friday, so if I disappear for a while I just wanted everyone to be aware.

Anyways, I took some pics a little while ago with the lights out, as I turned them off so I can raise them up as soon as I post this update. Sorry I didn't get any pics of the emitters running, but I'll try to next time. Thanks for stopping by and happy growing! :pass:

all the best wishes! Get well soon!
Thanks for the kind words and well wishes! :pighug::pass:
Sorry to hear it brother...stay on top of the infection cause it can go bad quick....
Yeah, I use to get infections way too often back when I was retaining so much fluid. I've actually been on antibiotics for a week now, as I had a 3 day supply left after the doctor took me off of them a year ago for a toothache. I also started using pure honey on the wound this past Monday and believe it or now, it wasn't hurting near as bad after a couple days, (you just have to change bandages and clean the wound 2X a day). My legs have been practically purple for the last 15 years, but there's a splotch of white around my ankles. Before using the honey, I noticed red streaking on my ankle, but it's gone now. If I had went to the VA, they would have put me right in the hospital, but local doctors have to try and treat it with antibiotics before they can hospitalized you. I wanted to try and treat it myself before I go that route. Anyways, sorry for the long post and thanks for the kind words! :pighug::pass:
Good luck hope you feel better and return quick!
Thanks @Hotfire I really appreciate it! :pighug::pass:
