Update day 39
Things sure have gotten busy! Between the two biggest girls going to twice a day fertigation and using the new Zero Water filter to keep up ..., I've been staying fairly occupied! A few things I've noticed about PH since using filtered water: 1) PH adjustments require a lot less ph up or down. 2) The PH seems to settle out right around 6.0 using my current nutes, (which is changing). and 3) It takes a lot longer for my Aspera PH tester to decide on a reading. More times than not, it starts out around 5.2ish and works up from there to 6.0 over a 10 minute time span. Also, since I flushed the girls 18 hours ago, Mephisto's Wedding has looked hungry. I upped both the bigger girls to 3 1/2 grams per gallon yesterday, and then to 4 grams today, (plus I foliar fed after the flush). I'm going to spray them again later tonight with their 2nd feeding. As I stated in the above post the Strawberry Nuggets is finally starting to look a little better, but she's not ready for bloom nutes yet. So I'm going to mix up a separate jug of MegaCrop nutes and more or less start treating her like a soil grow, (gonna start out fertigating her every other day for now, and maybe going to every 3rd day). I've used the original MegaCrop nutes to way up in flower before with great results, but since I'm going to drip emitters soon ... I've decided to start them on Flora-bloom @ 7 1/2 ml per gallon, which I'll eventually back down to 5ml 2 to 3 weeks before harvest. I want to drive them as hard as possible to get the most harvest out of 2 plants. I also think there will be less of a chance of the emitters clogging up with Flori-bloom. So I took some of my not so great pics with my cheap Samsung A11 phone, Anyways, thanks for stopping by and if you have a grow going, shoot me a link and I'd be glad to follow your progress! I'm always down for learning new stuff about our fav plant!
Up first is Strawberry Nuggets. She has come back pretty good after another harsh round of defoliation & I was finally able to tie down a few of her stubby branches.
Next up is Mephisto's Wedding. She doesn't look as hungry now as she did yesterday, so I hope I caught it quick enough. She needs more fan leaves removed, but I had cut off some lower shoots and I didn't want to take too many fans at once.
Finally we have Miss Chemdogging. I also took out some of her lower sucker shoots and just a few fans. I'll be taking more off in the coming days, but she has a lot more of a hybrid look with thinner leaves and a more open structure.
Here's a couple group shots with Chemdogging on the left & Mephisto's Wedding on the right. I swapped them around because she's the tallest girl right now and the back MarsHydro light, (that isn't on yet), had the highest room for light adjustment.
