I know it may be your own design, but have you put up blueprints on how to build one like this? It looks pretty sweet.
Back in the day I used garden sieves with clay balls, feeder rings and a recirculation system, worked great!
This is essentially the same the same thing with the addition of a pond bio filter, 7gal GeoPots with airstones in the bottom with covered with coir matting. The groovy looking manifold is just a tap splitter from hardware store to allow flow control to each pot.
I will be using a bell siphon to flood and drain the tray allowing the airstones to bubble away intermittently and stimulate the root zone, the coir will also help the bottom of the pot to be a bio filter itself.
Im using organic nutes with the addition of trichoderma to create a colony to hand over food to the plant.
All flows back into a tub under my tent, essentially the theory is to achieve organic hydro. I did a single GSC yielding 311g dry with the same nutes + aquaponics and dwc but it was very intensive. Will be drawing fish water down to my tub to replenish what the girls drink so sort of a hybrid, organic, hydro, aquaponic, draw down, ebb and flow, part time dwc system of a thing!
Hehe, I dont have access to a computer atm otherwise I would draw a schematic, but hopefully the above explanation paints a picture. Friends have said it looks like an engine lol. Guess its the white hoses (;
Oh, the bio filter has an internal uv light to kill algae blooms but I have never had one as a sprinkle some diotomacious earth in my tub for that reason as well as trace elements..
