I picked up some 7 gallon nursery containers (not the smooth sided oned) from the local nursery. I had a cpl concerns, could I plant two plants per container? I was considering buying a cpl more tomorrow before work but seen pictures of people with multiple autos in the same container. Being these pots are black and thin plastic should I something to shade them so the roots dont burn? I was thinking some bales of straw to place around the pots to shade them.

Need more info than that. What strain are you planting? What nutes are you using? In what area do you live if you're doing outdoor?

This will be an outdoor grow. Nutes will be Fox Farm Trio using FD's feeding techniques. Purple Jems, Blueberry by DP. La Diva, S.A.D, Pakistan Ryder, G13 labs Pineapple Express, Sweet Special will be the strains I am running in Pro-Mix.

Seven gal is kind of big for auto's but I still would only do one per pot to avoid over growding.Putting hay around the pots will work to keep the roots cool.

I agree, 7 gallon is kind of overkill for autos. Yes, you could put 2 in each pot but I'd make sure that they were the same strain. Nute requirements can vary from strain to strain so two of the same should avoid that issue.

Since you will be growing these outdoors, a couple things you might want to consider. You will likely have periods of wet weather where you won't be able to feed your plants so I doubt you'll be able to stick to FD's schedule. I'd suggest mixing in some worm castings or composted manure with the Pro Mix. That will help feed the plants during those times when you can't due to the pots already being saturated from rain. Placing straw around your pots will insulate them but it will also make them stand out more, especially from the air, which could be a problem if they fly your area. You can bury, or partially bury, your pots which will keep the roots cool. Camo burlap will also help to keep them cool and make them more stealth.

Thanks Muddy! I came to the conclusion I am going to return these pots and get 5 gallon Smart Pots for less chance of root problems.
