Well autoflower, you've finally done it...

After swearing up and down for years that I'd never join a grow forum (and just continue to lurk) I've finally given in and signed up to Autoflower.net. Now that's happened, I'd like to say hello And that I'm excited to learn from the pros!

Complete autoflower virgin here - have only grown photos and am ready for a change... I've clicked around on a bunch of forums over the last two years and always found the conversation here to be fun, knowledgeable, respectful and supportive... so... You guys are alllllright ;-)

Two main questions:

1) Who's drinking beers and hanging out tonight? If there's an introductory article or any good videos on Autoflowers in DWC, I would love a link to get the reading started.

2) Where the heck do I find auto seeds locally, in SoCal? Looking to get a mixed/mystery bag of strains so I can try a few different varieties before going full steam with my favorite.

(reason for local is for avoiding a three week+ shipping time from the EU, headaches, etc)

Any advice is appreciated and thanks guys!

Mephisto looks pretty good, and they offer a pick-n-mix type package which is pretty appealing for a first timer like me. My only hangup with the auto seed shops is wrapping my brain around paying $12 per seed..... I know it's silly but it just seems steep because i'm used to boring old photo beans, y'know? I'll get over it soon~!

Welcome frosti, funny intro haha, you'll like it here. As for ordering, welcome to the suck lol. It takes a while to get into a rhythm but you'll be able to eventually plan out your grow rounds and order from overseas in advance.

In the meantime, dang man if you're on the left coast, ya got access to awesome clones that most of us can't get! Of course they'll be photoperiods, but still. Auto beans are still almost impossible to get at any dispensary, but you can order from Mephistos site and many strains are fenced from within the US. Otherwise, orders from the EU have been taking about 2 weeks, not as bad as it used to be.

@Anthropolis - Love the avatar man. There are amazing clones out here, and lots of them. The only issue is they're very inconsistent in rooting (some in soil, some rockwool, some in old dixie cups) and one must be careful about making sure the source is free from PM, Mites, and armed robbery. (kidding! sort of....)

The reason for choosing autos is, I'm working with a limited space (pic below) and don't have enough room in my tiny shack to keep separate grow/bloom rooms. The beauty of Autos (to me) is that you can run a perpetual harvest without having to constantly ref*ckulate light cycles. keeping the babies on one side of the room and the monsters on the other is an amazing idea!
