Hey

I am currently growing an auto northern lights in a 20 litre pot (well...bucket) with 7 litres compost and 3 litres of perlite. I'm on day 4 from sprouting and unsure where to go with watering.

I had flushed the soil before planting the seed and haven't watered since then which was 6 days ago now. I have been spraying water twice a day up until now but feel the soil has dried out almost to the bottom and I should start watering properly.

which method is best to use given its a small seedling in a big pot. Water small amounts round in ever increasing rings or water the whole thing til run off now? Or none of the above haha.

Thanks

Water to run off it will be fine

Water a large area and wait the 6 days..no need to spray twice a day unless you're trying to keep humidity up and even then I use a small humidifier if need be no spraying. Also, no need to water with runoff yet. As the plant grows just increase the water, water slowly and a large area. Everyone has a different method, but this works very well.

Hey cheers.

I watered her a little bit last night just in a circle directly around her but not a large amount at all. About 4ml in about 4 inches of the pot. Is this enpugh though should i water a little more (not over what i done yesterday but outside that) Im worried the roots will be searching out and itll be dry...but I am a total newbie and have no idea hoe far they would be by now.

I was spraying as things seemed a bit dry in there. Still do to an extent but ahe is growing pretty well so I'm maybe being overly panicky.

It's a bit tricky cos of the large pot ans the little seedling...lesson learned maybe
