For anyone that may be willing to take a minute and help me out, thank you. I have two questions. The first, most pressing question - I started 4 Autos at the same time. All of them vegged and flower appropriately with the exception of one, that at day 48 is just now visibly and clearly flowering. It took going to 12/12 and 10 days of bloom booster. Since it didn't pop like the others, it was quarantined and placed under CFL with a DWC I'm trying - far away from her sisters in my grow cab. Here she is IMG_20150414_195143.jpg

and here's her sister - same age and strain - IMG_20150414_194618.jpgIMG_20150414_200452.jpg

So here's my question - Can I finish the budded plant above under cfl - even though it's only ever known the 600 HPS lighting? My Cab only has room for 3. If I can I'd love to move all the girls that are almost finished out - and move the dwc (10 days old) and shaggy hoe at the top of this post under the HPS.
My CFL arrangement is 350W CFL and a fluorescent light that's like 2 ft long. I forget the Wattage it was somewhere between 2300-2700K.

My other question, is simple. I have some ok plants going, and they're 48 days old. The smell is MINIMAL at worst, and I'm not even using a carbon filter or Ionizer. Only about half of my guest even notice the faint aroma. What gives? It's really not very strong smelling at all, and not very skunky either.....more of a grassy smell than a skunky grow op scent. Obviously I'm lucky - but any chance I did something wrong and these plants are gonna suck despite their visual appeal?? :help:

The auto flowering part is all genetics. Clearly the one plant is just a little off on that part of its genetic make up it will take off when she is ready.

As for the smell. You're lucky you don't have to fight it yet. Smell has little to do with the end result. Some plants smell like skunks from before they even send out their first pistols and others don't start kicking till they are ready to chop. Again it's genetics.

When it comes to autos flowering, if the light schedule needs to be flipped to 12/12, it's not an auto because it didn't automatically flower. Sometimes you get a bad bean. I don't think it matters if the light was started under MH and finished under CFL, or vice versa. As long as the plant is getting the light spectrum it needs, it should be good to go. I'm no expert, though, so for a concrete answer, I'd suggest the live help thread.
When it comes to smell, I think a lot of it has to do with the strain and genetic. BUT, there are some nute supplements that claim to enhance the smell of your flowers.

I think you'll be fine finishing under the 350W CFL, how long are the u-tubes ?

My autos hardly ever smell very much.

All the best,

steely

Thanks Steelrat !
I'm sorry, I should have been more specific. :slaps:They are coil bulbs, and that was their combined wattage. There are two 100W + one 150W + the fluorescent.....

OK so I made the jump, but now my cfl closet is lit up properly. Two 150W Cfl + one 100W Cfl all 2700K - and then an 18 inch fluorescent for good measure. However, Bob Marley already has a burnt leaf or two..... atleast I think it's burnt, it's hard to tell because it's atypical of any heat damage I've ever seen. It's isolated to only two fan leafs, up high, and it turned the leaf bright yellow - but it (the yellow) starts from the inside/middle of the leaf and works it's way out. I'll post a pic if I can't diagnose it myself.

Sure thing ! IMG_20150421_090846.jpgIMG_20150421_090932.jpg This is her as of yesterday.

13 blades on a fan leaf - never knew such a thing was possible - here is a closer shot of what I think to be the burnt leaf. There's a few, all up high.
