I let her get a little thirsty and gave her 1 1/2 cups of water in her 3 gal pot on Sunday. Monday shes perky and strong with new growth. Tues shes sad again. Soil is still evenly damp. Is this normal?

She looks a little sad, more info would be helpful,.
Type of medium.
Lighting
Water source and pH of feed
Environmental conditions

Quick draw guess? pH is a little off. But that's what it is a fast guess.

The lighting looks different between the two pics, is this occurring just before and during lights out? Mine start looking droopy nearly 3 hours before lights out and start to perk up about an hour before lights on.

The flash was on in one of the pics.
kind soil and ffof for medium
Carbon filtered tap ph’d to 6.8
HLG 320 QB rspec 36” at 75% intensity
Day climate high 70’s 45RH
Night low 70’s RH50
Small pole Oscillating fan
AC infinity T6 inline fan with carbon filter
Heat mat
Tent is also raised and insulated 6” off the concrete floor

I would drop the heat mat, with those Temps and setup the heat may be hurting more than helping. You want to stay between 65-68 on root zone to keep from bacteria growing. Ffof is a very strong soil, I use happy frog and it's still strong for some autos. When potting up next time take an empty solo cup and fill Ffof around it, take cup out and fill hole with a lighter seed starting mix.

But the plant don't look bad just struggling to make roots. She should still be able to make it.

Update: So I watered her again and today shes once again strong and perky. I’m baffled about my other 3 girls as they are in the exact same climate and soil. The other 3 are super small for being almost 4wks old. Their growth seems super slow motion.

Good call on dropping the heat mat. Hopefully that helps with my other 3 slow growing girls. I think I’ll save the ffof for my photos.

My first auto grow I used bushdoctor coco loco to which they grew like weeds until I came along and stunted them with bad ph’d water. I dig the less frequent watering cycles of coco as well

Makes sense that watering helped because it would cool the medium down for a bit. I hope it helps also.

Never ran coco before but I've seen and heard good things. Just a bit harder to keep right ph and nute balance.

Since I have kept the heat mat off, things have improved in my tent. My girls and worms are happy. All my girls have been displaying new growth at a faster rate than I’ve seen so far.

Also, I introduced an oil space heater in my utility room to passively bring my day temp to 80. My RH wants to stay around 39-40%. Since my girls are still young, I added 2 bowls of water at opposite corners rigged with towels. Once every 2 days or so I simply lift the bowls of water up to soak the towel then set the bowl back down. Keeps my RH around 50ish. Once they flower I won’t have to mess with the RH anymore. Thanks again for the help.
