I tend to keep them on the shorter side by pinching and bending the main tops. Usually that slows down the height so the other shorter branches reach up.

Don't know about the WTF as this one died on me, but the WMD is the hardest hitter I have at the moment. Only smoke that one near the end of the evening before bed
Taste wise it has a very floral taste/smell. Rolled in a joint the floral taste isn't that prominent, but the smoke is smooth and fast hitting
