New Grower Nirvana auto Blue Mystic + LED

The DS100 is a 100 watt LED ... I keep it 14-18" above the top of the plant. It's the bare minimum to grow one plant although I've grown more ...

I would like to try to make something w/ a large 50+gal cardboard storage barrel lined w/ mylar ... the barrel is about as tall and big around as the biggest plants get ... the 200w LED would hang independently inside the barrel and the barrel would be able to be lifted also w/ a rope ratchet .... Reflected LED light is of great importance to a plant ... this current grow is suffering from having to leave two sides open for ventilation .... I don't think the barrel would work as well as a good tent but I'll bet the effect of the barrel would be very interesting and noticeable .... toss in a solar turntable and you're growing a tree ... Barrel would be open at both ends w/ possible reflector on the top ...

Lush little beauties. Always something to worry about, once germed and up a bit these girls can handle heat. Circ is probably key to combat mold. My grow shed can hit 100 even with both ends wide open. I think while maturing heat=resin.

Min 86* / Max 89* ... day 30 :dance2:
Fed her 1/2 gal of the same mix as last time ... added 2.5ml Kool Bloom ... Doing her best to grow buds ... Lighting is 20/4 w/ 2 Advanced LED lights, a DS100 and an Extreme Flower120 ... wish I'd planted 2 seeds ...

Strangely enough, I had just watched a video about LEDs and how they seem to do better if the ambient air temps were closer to 85F (~26C-28C) since they don't produce the same kind of heat intensity the HID lights do, so maybe your higher temps will actually produce a better yield during this experiment?!

Very interesting 'G' ... I expected much higher temps in my grow. My space is a closet inside an 'older' house in Florida ... We hit mid 90's about every day yet the space hasn't registered more than 89* so far w/ 200 watts of light burning .... I visit the house and run the air for 4-6 hrs twice a week ... I did not expect the plant to accept 85*-90*F so cheerfully ... I have more light I could give this plant but besides the added 2-3* of heat there is the stealth factor ... My 368 watt DS400 is like putting a lighthouse in a box ... kind of hard to hide the light leaks ... I may paint the inside of the windows before my winter grow this year ... I'm not sure if it's the higher temps but unless I screw up big time this plant should produce a pretty good yield ...

Here's that video.. It took foooooorever for me to remember who it was that did it.. I hope this doesn't violate any rules here, since it seems like it's from a sponsored person/grow but the information is what's most important!

He mentions some information, and me being a scientist, I always have a bit of skepticism when people make claims without some sort of reference, but his grow looked good and the set-up was clean.. I think with a little more work, they could probably double their weight, but you get the idea!!

I'm still amazed that those are the highest temps you're seeing!! I lived in Florida for a while and I know the attic in the house I lived in was usually in the mid 100's for temp during the Summer.. It was usually so hot that not even critters lived up there!!! lol

The attic is where the squirrels go to mummify their dead ... I know the next time I'm growing in an air conditioned home I'm not going to worry about the temperatures ... thanks for the link I'll check it out ...

Chester she is looking fantastic! I've always seen the nirvana strains and yet to watch a grow on here so I'm gonna pull up a chair and do some watching! Keep up the fantastic growing man!! !"Munch..munch..munch
