@Nicker32, Whether you use a butter machine, a crock pot, the oven or the top of the stove, you will need to decarb first or chances are you won't get much of a high.
I'd also seriously consider using a water cure on all the bud and trim you intend to use for edibles. Machine made butter made with decarbed bud will undoubtedly get you high, but that doesn't mean that it will taste good. The secret for good tasting edibles basically boils down to how much chlorophyll is in your bud. Water curing takes out the chlorophyll plus also removes any of the water soluble nutes that might be still left in the bud and trim. Water curing does not remove the THC or CBDs; it just takes out the nasty stuff. It's fast; water cure for 7 days, then into the oven on "warm" to dry the bud out, then do the decarbing thing. Essentially, you can have finished butter just about 8 days from the chop.
If it's bud you're gonna smoke or vape the hands down favorite is still slow air dried and jar cured for the dank and goodly taste and smells we've all grown to love. But for edibles, all who have tried it seem to prefer the taste of water cured bud for butter, tincture and oils.
Also, you can make your butter or oil stronger by adding 1 tbs. of lecithin granules per cup of oil or butter. The Lecithin allows your body to absorb more of the THC and CBDs in the finished product.
