Indoor NiceNEasy's trials and tribulations.

Interested to hear your next steps.......death to hermies or not?....

I believe it will be death in the next few weeks, but I want to see how they progress first. I want to know if they are females that just developed a few bollocks due to stress, or if they continue to produce sacs. Either way they will not be bred with, and taking these down the F line is now probably not going to happen.

I will see how the current 6 seedlings do, and if they show any signs first, before making final decisions on the fate of the Forgetful Dragons.

As the fun never stops, I have went back to my seed box & dragged out my F3 Black Dragons from 2019 to look for a new male. I have never had any hermi issues with the Black Dragons, and I have messed them about something shocking. That leads me to believe that the issue came in through the female, which was a feminised seed. Whatever process was used there may have triggered something.

Anyway, Dragons never really die, they just rest an awfully long time. :dragon8::dragon2::dragon5:

Looks like there are some spares if the need be. They may have over heard You wishing for a male and helped out :haha:
Good nanner pics though :pighug:

It all keeps me on my toes mate. All good fun. I'm well glad I didn't send any seeds out now. That could have been a disaster.

Important to keep the dragons alive!!! So much medicinal value. Got some Duurtys headed my way.
Black Dragon project sounds awesome. Something about black leaf cultivars that call to me.

Day 42.

No pics today, but we mourn in passing our three ladyboys & wish them bon voyage. They were chucking out nads all over the place, so not worth it.

I have transferred the remaining females into one pot, but think there was a lot of root disturbance in the process. We shall see what happens with them. 6 seedlings remain, and then I've planted 7 Black Dragon to soil today as they all cracked.

Day ?? No idea really, call it 14.

Ok, we've reset the clocks a little & are waiting on the last batch of Forgetful Dragons to show their sex. There's another week or so before that happens. These seem a lot stronger than their siblings, but I will wait and see. The hermi thing is really troubling me now, and if any of these show signs then I'm going to stop work on that line totally, for now at least.

Springing into action, are my F3 Black Dragons. A couple of years of storage & all broke through with no issues, until I could not get the shell off a couple.

Hopefully one of these four will be the dark uncle I am looking for.

We are 1.

One year old this thread today, so just thought I'd mark it. We've had joy, we had fun, and the odd disaster - with more still to come. We have an extension on the life of my current grow space, as it is currently being non-impacting & plans have changed regarding renovations. As long as nothing gets too whiffy, then we should be good for another year now. :smokeit: :smoking:

The cold has taken its toll again on some of the remaining Forgetful Dragons, and they have not fared so well. The Black Dragons seemed to stop growing for a while, but hoping that is on the mend. Still waiting on sex signs from all the plants, and some hermi stuff if it happens.

I have a couple of 4/20 grows coming up, so will be concentrating on those for the next few months - Seed Stockers Solo & the 420 Fast Buds. I hope to see you on those threads when they are created.

Not sure if I will be picking up on this thread again afterwards, but I'll not keep you hanging.

Some new pics will be up in the next few days.

Keep the Dragons going!! Even the snags produce knowledge.

Hello again my good fiends, I was quite surprised to see it was a couple of months since I'd last updated this thread, but I have not been idle. Since we last spoke I've grown a couple of Gelato 41's in the solo comp (curing), a Mimosa Cake (drying), and an Auto Skywalker Haze (just in bloom). You can check the links on my signature if you want to get the low down on those babies.

I had only intended on completing the Skywalker & then calling it for the year, but there is still valuable growing time to be had before the British Winter, so back comes the question of the Dragons.

:dragon2:

I have some Magic Dragon seeds, probably 7-8+ years old, that I'm trying to germ. No such luck as yet, but they have only been started a few days, so fingers crossed for life.

In the meantime, I planted a couple of Black Dragon F3 (Male) x Amnesia Haze Auto (Female) (Forgetful Dragon) seeds, from the taller, more Haze acting plant

These two seeds I've put into solo cups, in a root riot cube & then filled the solo with clay pebbles. The intention is to treat as hydro / coco, but I'm only using the crappy nutes I have. I know that eventually, I'll go down the Coco route a-la @St. Tom , but I've other things to buy at the moment.

Day 3.

Everything going fine so far, even though it is 30+ in the tent in the daytime. Got a real positive feeling about the clay pebbles. I'm thinking this may be the future for my micro-breeding projects. Overwatering has always been my issue in small pots, so this may solve it.
