Indoor Newbies Has a Question about Plant Height

Those plants look good! i was super worried about my hieght as well around day 20, they were even smaller than yours but once she started to flower she went up about 6 inches in a week! So, i'm guessing you just got to wait, form newb to newb, good luck~!

Thanks for the reply!

I tend to worry too much.

It's good to hear that you have had a similar experience. I can't for her to have her growth spurt!

How many watts of cfl do you have on it sivaji? I Think it looks fine for 3 weeks but I would think about adding more wattage if it is needed. Now is when it will start taking off with some nutes and good lighting. I have had them stay short and compact up until week 5-6 then they would hit a growth spurt and take off.

Mine are usually the same way. they look like that on week three
and then at the end of week 4 its a whole different plant.
its about to get real interesting.

karma sent for it

yah your about to be amazed at the rediculous growth that week 4-5 will bring..... its stupid how much growth happens right after they sex out and have a chance to "mingle"

Yeah, you're doing awesome dude. That plant looks VERY healthy. Just keep doing what you're doing and don't over-do anything or try to outsmart yourself. Your plant is perfectly sized for 3 weeks and it should have a NICE growth spurt. It looks like it may be a bushy type pheno too.. so it may stay low but it should branch way out. If it does get bushy, I definitely reccomend adding 2-4 more lights (putting them at the side of the plant) to get some good lighting on the side branches as CFL's aren't of such a great intensity they don't penetrate the lower branches. (Don't want to worry you, so don't think it's something that HAS to be done.. it'd just increase the yield on a bushy plant with CFL's).

Good karma to you and just wait 'til you see what that plant is going to do as long as you keep treating her right. Very well done for a first grow!!!

THANK YOU, to all of you who have responded so far!

Your knowledge, experience and willingness to help is very much appreciated!

I'm brand new to this forum and growing---and I've received so much support from wonderful people here. It really helps to calm my "growing anxiety."

May you all be blessed with beautiful and bountiful autos!

I stunted my first grow by adding nutes to quick, The plant wont look burnt or anything in veg but they wont get to tall or grow like you might expect. Its all part of the learning process for me anyway.

Sorry sivaji, I missed this thread until now, somehow. You plant looks great and the 2 gal container should be just fine.

The only thing I might suggest... If you haven't done it yet, you might want to add a root drench. (i.e. FF Kangeroots or most anything that has trichoderma and/or mrcorrhizal fungi to stimulate root growth.) This will stimulate root growth during the growth spurt you're about to go into. But, if you don't have any or can't get it, don't worry, your plant will still be fine.

You're getting into the really good part. :peace:
