50 watts (actual) of CFL per square foot is a good intensity for sprouts. Start out with them at 6 to 8 inches above the plants and at about 5 weeks, add in the HPS. At 7 weeks change the CFL bulbs to the red spectrum. Feel free to experiment, this is just my suggestion. Have fun!
