Newbie trich question?

Do the Trichs turn milky almost over night? Because I looked a couple days ago and all looked clear looked last night and I swear a lot are already milky. I don’t want to have too many amber because I don’t want couch lock weed but at the same time I want to harvest at the peak time.

Maybe not overnight, but certainly a couple days can make a big difference. Trichs on the sugar leaves will turn first, watch the caylxs not the sugar leaves.

Here's about the time I harvest and how my trichs look if it helps

A lil bit of amber but I check top, middle, and bottom of the plant for a good ratio.

Kind of depends on how you like your bud. I like my sativa like the pic I shared but I prefer indicas more around what you're showing. If it was mine it could go a few days longer.

They can change quickly especially if the temps are over 78°F. Yours still look partly clear to me?

When the trichome are all cloudy the harvest window opens:

Some clear mostly all cloudy = a cerebral, racy high.

All cloudy with 20% amber = a balance mind/body high

All Cloudy with 40% amber = sleepy time/couch lock buzz

50% plus = over ripe.
