Hi everyone, so glad to aboard this forum as I need a few tips. I have 2 one week old Northern Light Autos growing well in Clover Multi Purpose Compost (100% Irish peat moss) this stuff I read is excellent for Autos but the thing is I cant find a good feed chart with ml amounts using Biobizz with 100% peat moss. I have the fish mix, grow and bloom on stand by. Any advice welcome.

I've never seen anyone grow with your soil, but a quick google tells me:

Peat moss, the remains of sphagnum plants, is probably its most common form; it contains less than 1 percent nitrogen, with phosphorus and potassium below 0.1 percent. It is highly acid, with pH between 3 and 4.5 (a pH value of 7 is neutral and one above 7 basic).

Sounds like the mix is low in nutes, so i'd follow this guide - You'll need the grow as it's Nitrogen that you need for veg, and you'll need the bloom for flowering.

Follow this advice from Duck Commnader (just use the bits youve got - don't worry about the rest)

If your soil is that low in PH it will lock out your nutes and kill the plant.
Ideally you'll be looking to grow in a soil range of 6.0-6.5

Biobizz soils contain buffers that will bring the soil into takeup range (to a degree) even if your water PH isn't bang on.
i don't think Peat will do this.

Thank so much for the fast response definitely food for though

If you've still got the bag - take a photo of the ingredients and repost .. I'd missed the part that it was multi-purpose-compost.

I've killed autos using something similar ... but some breeders swear by the cheap cheap soil. I've only ever used specific brand soil for growing canna.

Its very poplar here in the U.K for growing hemp, but not a lot of info when using Biobizz with it.

Pure peat is not a good medium. It needs to be mixed with other things to help with drainage and provide air to the roots, and prevent it from compacting too much with repeated watering. This is why peat mixes almost always have perlite, vermiculite, coco coir, or some combination of 2-3 drainage and aeration material. A good rule of thumb is at least 30% drainage substrate for a peat based mix.

Hi
Yes I have mixed it with perlite and the Clay LECA Pebbles at the bottom of cloth pots. My question is not about drainage its about Biobizz nutrients.

Gotcha, I just saw the 100% peat, which I think was a reference to the package, and took it literally. No experience with Biobizz nutrients, but I am guessing Blue’s advice is pretty much on point.

good luck!
