Newbie from AUSTRALIA

Hi Heat,

Welcome to AFN. I am from SEQ. so my area can get chilly under 5c in winter but girls , come under were the bbq once lived, it became a grasshound instead lol.

What i do, (first time for me) removed the beads from the searles advanced premium potting mix for the auto babys for the first 2 weeks and transplanted to the main pots. The Searles ferts seem to cover the vege okay so far, scared to really add much nutes to it.

When starting your babies in the main pots, maybe two handful of seed raisng mix in the centre for the seed. What is your mix mate?

hey Mate,
I have not used that potting mix but Searles is the one i used and TheGreenBandit, a mate on here, when i first started out growing December 2018. I used his thread hence searles potting mix with seed rasing mix in the centre its good for vege, and then a bit of potash for bloom. I also have tiny bit of that richgro phospous i might grind up also to give p and k. You are careful with the watering etc with her? She will pick up, i had one with my first grow, we called her little one , stunted and then took off like a bolt and caught up with her sisters and gave the best yield. If i get a stunted one ( got on atm) , and just hope it comes around.

Here's a seed popping mix that will see you right everytime.
Use a solo cup or PB 3/4 bag.
Soak a jiffy pot.
Take a coco/perlite 70/30 mix and add worm castings at no more than 20%.
Add this mixture to pot and embed the jiffy pot in the mix.
Place the seed in jiffy pot.
Water with plain water. Don't feed.
Its a superb and easy method.
