Hey everyone, newbie here. I'd like to apologize if I sound like I have no idea what I'm talking about. None of my information comes from experience. Only what I've read online.

This will be my first season growing. I've been researching every aspect of growing I could think of over the past few months but with the overwhelming amount of strains and varying conditions around the world I can't decide what will be best for me. I prefer Sativa but anything will be fine since this season will be mostly experimental for me.

I have decided to attempt to grow 2 different strains of the autoflowering variety to see if one adapts better to my area. I've read most mature in less than 3 months so if something goes wrong with the first crop I should have time to start a new one.

I've come to you guys for advice on pretty much anything.

-Which Autoflowering strains will be best suited for me (My main question)
-What to look for when searching for a grow spot
-Method of germination
-Common beginner mistakes
-Everything after that :p

I don't expect everything to go right on my first try but if I could be pointed in the right direction I'm one step closer. I know experience will be my best teacher.

Please let me know if other information is needed. Thank you for your patience

That reminds me, any suggestions on reputable seed banks is very helpful.
Thanks a lot for your response! Hard to kill is definitely a trait I'm looking for haha

Look for beginner strains easy to grow. Big bang I have grow twice and did 1 grow journal on here with a grow/smoke report. Check it out if you'd like. Def can take a beating and is great for beginners. Upside is they get big and yield big as well. Downside not all I have grown have auto'd. Best method of germinating is planting seed right in it's final resting place. Tho I have paper toweled many of times. Most common beginner mistake I have seen is over watering and feeding to strong of nutes, to early and to Frequently.

Look In seedbank review section of the site. I use attitude seedbank and weed-seeds.net

Welcome to AFN and the New Growers forum. Mi5 is always a good plant to start with. Easy to grow, yields well and a strong, well balanced high. Are you planning on growing in pots or planting directly in the ground? I would suggest trying to find a spot that is off the beaten path, that gets plenty of light and is easy enough to get to that you don't have to carry water too far. A lot of people here use Herbies or the Attitude for their seeds. Also check the Autoflower Seed link at the top of the page. Lots of good strains in there developed by the members here.
