Welcome to AFN MrSour, happy you joined us. As Atrain said the buckets should be fine. For your first grow I would go with a soil with no added nutes. Autos tend to be very nute sensitive for the first few weeks. Sounds like you have a good setup, you may want to get a fan speed controller to help you get temperature dialed in well
If you can get a soil pH probe like the Accurate 8 you will find it a great investment. It also reads soil moisture so with your 3 gal buckets it will help avoid over/under watering.
A lot of nutes are acidic so a liquid pH tester of some sort will help you figure out how to adjust nutes with your tap water. Incorrect pH is the number one issue we see new growers struggle with.
