New to Autos (and indoor) Seeking Feedback on Proposed Feeding Schedule

So, I recently picked up a WaterFarm by General Hydropinics. I haven't got it up and running yet as I want to work out some of the details. My current concern is this: The res holds 2.7 gallons. After draining it, .7 gallons remains in the res. Rather than having to mix three gallons every time I up the strength of the nutes (every ten days) can I just leave the residual .7 gallons in the res and add the new on top of that?

The best advice has already been given - watch the plants, see how they react.

I used AN pH Perfect for years before switching to MegaCrop. To me, your dosages definitely look consistently too low! Even at your highest dose of 6 g/gal that's only 1.6 g/L.! At 1 month out, you are only feeding at 3 mL/gallon or just .8 mL/L, while I'd charge my coco/perlite from the very start with 1.2 g/L. I found 2.5 g/L to be a very safe base dosage from about day 15-20 to the very end, along with other supplements and often high-dose foliar feeding (using Transport). Without all the other nutes, I'd probably feed at about 3 mL/L (11.3 mL/gallon). So you may want to try starting out higher at each stage and/or ramping dosages up some and see what happens.

But I am not the best role model, and with your system you may not need as high nutrient levels [Get other opinions too]. For example, I'd also suggest, if anything, err on the side of a little bit of excess vs. having deficiencies. I've rather see a little bendng (from N) or some token burning of leaf tips vs. having one or more deficiences, which would likely more affect, growth, yield, potency, etc. more in the end.

And rather than just Tarantula, which only has bacteria, if you are only going to use one beneficial microbes product, consider a more all-purpose one with more types of bacteria and fungi. I'm now using Tribus Original, having picked it up at major discount with their Black Friday sales, but there are others out there much cheaper than Tribus' usual price.

Thanks, BII! Using TaNG's feeding schedule (linked here) ..I converted his formula and rounded down which explains why my dosages look low. I'll rework it making 4 liters = 1 gallon instead. I'm glad that you brought that up because, after giving it some more thought, it's definitely better to have my nutrient levels a little too high than too low. I've been trying to go about this as simply as possible and it's slowly getting more complicated. Fortunately, I haven't got the system up and running yet although I do have all of the AN products that I've listed. I'm thinking about also using realgrowers' Recharge but I'm getting real low on expendable funds so for now I'm just trying to get the converted numbers right and the confidence to move forward in about a month or so.

Again, you're rounding conversion factors to single digits. I suggest you use 3.8 L = 1 gallon.

I don't know that ReCharge, which has a good amount of organics in it besides the microbes, is really suited for use in a reservoir system. Consider top feeding with it. Check with others who know.

You're right. I've since reworked it. Since my rez is 2 gal, I've multiplied Tang's suggested ml by 7.5 since 2 gallons is 7.5 liters. This is what I came up with..

Days 1-10
Tarantula at 15ml per 2 gal
Carboload at 15ml per 2 gal

Days 10-20
Sensi Bloom A&B at 7.5ml ea. per 2 gal
Tarantula at 15ml per 2 gal
Carboload at 15ml per 2 gal

Days 20-30
Sensi Bloom A&B at 11.25ml ea. per 2 gal
Cal-Mag at 7.5ml per 2 gal

Days 30-40
Sensi Bloom A&B at 15ml ea. per 2 gal
Cal-Mag at 7.5ml per 2 gal

Days 40-45
Sensi Bloom A&B at 15ml ea. per 2 gal
Tarantula at 15ml per 2 gal
Carboload at 15ml per 2 gal
Cal-Mag at 7.5ml per 2 gal

Days 45-60
Sensi Bloom A&B at 15ml ea. per 2 gal
Carboload at 15ml per 2 gal
Overdrive at 15ml per 2 gal
Cal-Mag at 7.5ml per 2 gal

Days 60-70
Water

I'll do more research on Recharge but I might just wind up going with Orca.
