New sprout - questions/concerns

Hey everyone,

First time grower here.

I planted this @RocBudInc Purple Scoops seed directly to soil on Tuesday 3/17 in the late evening. I noticed it pushing through yesterday morning and seemed to get pretty consistent growth for the first 12 hours or so.

Since then, it has gotten taller, but I haven’t noticed much new growth on the first set of true leaves. It was under a humidity dome for about 24 hours after it sprouted, but I took that off this morning.

Should I be worried at all about lack of new leaf growth? Also does it look to be stretching?

I have only been giving it a couple light spritzes of filtered water a couple times a day if the top of the soil (ph ~7.1)

Light is HLG 65 4k at 24” from top of pot.

Temperature is 75-81F, Humidity has been 60-70RH in the tent, but more under humidity dome (which has now been removed).

Medium is 2/3 Roots Organic Original layered over 1/3 Kind Soil in 1.5 gallon fabric pot.

I do not have my exhaust fan on yet, but do have a hurricane fan blowing air within the tent.

I have 2 other seeds planted in the tent I am still waiting to sprout. Those are Mephisto.

Right on man. Thanks for chiming in. She poked her head at 60 hours after planting. No presoak / just straight to soil. I took that as a good sign!

A quick update and a few questions.

Purple Scoops is now at day 4.5 and one of my Mephisto seeds, Double Grape x 3BOG, sprouted Sunday morning putting it at day 2.5. Both seem happy.

Nothing yet from the other Mephisto, Northern Cheese Haze. Tonight will be 7 days from planting the seeds directly to soil. How much longer should I wait before giving up on it and trying another seed?

I haven’t adjusted the HLG 65 height yet. It is still sitting at 24” over the top of the pots. At what point should I think about lowering it a bit?

Also, I am still on 24hr on/0hr off. Any reason to change that? Temp has around 77-79F and humidity 65-70RH. I’m afraid to monkey with it since it seems ideal at the moment.

I am still not running my exhaust fan/filter. Just a light breeze from the clip on fan in the tent. Is there a time that is best to turn it on, or just wait till I need to tweak temp or humidity? Thanks!
