Well I got 2 new plants today. My wife got them from family so I am going to try and salvage them. I was told she thinks there both gorilla glue but they both look like 2 different strains and I am sure they are different. The person we got them from grows a lot of blue dream so I am pretty sure one is Gorilla glue and the other is Blue Dream. They are deficient and infested as all hell with spider mites. I have never tried to clean up plants this bad as I normally would kill any plant infested as bad as these so this will be an adventure. I did not plan on doing a grow for about another month as I am working a lot and don't have a lot of time but she came home with these plants so I guess it's happening now. I am growing organic and am out of bat guano so had to order soil, 0-11-0 bat guano and Azatrol on line for this grow today. I am out of soil and drove over 20 miles from home trying to find bat guano after failing in the small city I live in to find it along with any good organic soil or worm castings :( Next week I will get some worm castings to add to my soil for the grow but will be cheep castings as I don't have a good source on them unless I drive at least 1.5 hours from home and thats going to be a while. Tonight I am going to add 1 teaspoon of Epson salt to a gallon of water, 1 teaspoon of bone meal to the top of each plant and tomorrow about 1 teaspoon of Diatomaceus Earth to the tops of the soil. Also going to wipe the bottoms of the leafs tonight with a cloth and water to help with the mites for now. I will be combating the mites later when the Azatrol and no pest strips in about 1 week. I don't recommend using no pest strips but Its a do or kill the plans situation as the infestation is that bad and I want to make sure the plants are not going to infest my next crop. Never use a no pest strip during the flowering ever. I dot worry about doing it early in the veg stage and plan on vegging these plants for about 20 days after I take the no pest strip out of the tent, 40 days total. The more indica dominate plant I believe to be the Gorilla glue and the more sativa to be Blue Dream but cant be 100% yet. Have to talk to who I got them from. I will be growing these using the sub cool super soil recipe using roots organic soil. I guess we will see how well I can tackle the mites and bring these sick plants out of there infestation and deficiency. I was planning on doing an auto grow next month but here we are lol.

Well I top dressed the Bone meal, DE and Epsom. Did not measure any of it, just eyed it all. I also chopped the plants down to about 1/3 there size, took off the bad leafs, wiped the under sides of all leafs with a damp rag and then sprayed the plants with a pretty strong solution of need water on the tops, bottoms of leafs and top of soil. Plants are now in tent under the 600 HPS on 24 hours for now at about 18" away.

The indica looking plant has a strong skunky odor to it.

Well been so busy that I just had enough time to mix soil and do a post. working a lot this month.

So I mixed my veg and bloom mix today.

The veg is 1 bag roots with 2 solo cups worth of steer manure, 1 teaspoon of oyster shell, 1 teaspoon of azomite, 1 teaspoon of humic acid, 1 teaspoon of epsom salt and 1 table spoon of lime.

The bloom mix is 1 bag roots with 10 ounce of 0-10-0 bat guano, 10 ounces of bone meal, 10 ounces of blood meal, 6 ounces of rock phosphate, 2 table spoon epsom salt, 2 table spoons green sand, 2 table spoons kelp meal, 1 table spoon oyster shell, 1 table spoon azomite, 1 table spoon humic acid and 2 table spoons of lime.

I will be transplanting in to the veg mix in a few days. I am in 1/2 gallon pots now and will be planted in to 2 gallon pots in the middle of the week. I will try my best to keep updated and load pictures as soon as there is something worth posting. My tent temps are high and the plants are suffering a little from heat stress. I cant access the AC in the room right now so I will have to fix the problem in a few days. For now I am leaving the tent door open a little to help. The light is on 24 hours as of now so it dose not matter. Might go to a 20 hour cycle when I transplant but we will see.

Well I don't like how my clones are doing so I started some seeds. They sprouted today. I started OG Kush from Dinafem and a Blue cheese from Buddha seeds. If I knew I was going to grow both strains I would have mixed a little lighter on my soil lol. They will be fine though. I might go a little light on the bloom soil with the Blue cheese though. I still need to get worm castings. Hope to do that tomorrow. Might go a little heavy on them with both mixes, maybe 2 gallons a piece if I can afford to get that much and maybe an extra gallon of perlite in each mix. We will see what tomorrow brings. I need to pot up the new seedlings tonight.

Well the worm castings as of right now are a no go. Too broke so maybe I can add them later. I potted the seeds in solo cups for now. Did not realize I was spending so much on starbucks coffee during the week on my way to work lol. I had my ac set at 60% and my tent was a little high temp. My thermometer was reading 85* but was placed close to the light and facing it. I moved some stuff in the room as I was blocking the air flow a little and turned it up to 100% so temps should lower some were in the 70s. Not sure if they will be high or low 70s, I guess we will see tomorrow.

So was thinking today about my clones and thought killing them or giving up on them is a dumb way of doing things and decided even if I did kill or give away I should salvage and save them first. Its not the autoflower way for us to give up and kill things. No one learns from it. So.... Going to scrape the surface of the soil today and get up any dry nutrients that are left on the top, toss it, flush the plants with sink water good, run about 1/2 gallon through the pots to flush out the sink water, take plants out of pots, cut the bottom half of the root ball and discard the lower half, Put fresh soil in pot to replace what I took out and get them going good again. Might even keep them. I discarded all damaged leafs already and only have new growth left of the plants so they look pretty spindly. My tent temps are down to 75* now which fixes one problem. I have some flying gnats in the tent I have to deal with but will have to wait on that tell payday. I will have to look in my garden supplies and see if I have any thing for them. Will try to get pictures late tonight.

Well finally got a chance to take some pictures. As you can see my mites are gone. The clones were yellow before the transplant and are getting good color back. The humidity is low at only 20% in the room and the plants don't like that but not much I can do for it right now as I have to run the AC full blast. Temps are now in the high 70s. Probably going to get some soil for the clones and grow them out.

So what is a grow with out a side by side experiment. I have a hard time getting roots organic soil so I thought I would see how a common commercial brand will do with easier to get products. I bought 2 bags of Black gold 2cf soil, 3 bags of there 8 qt worm castings for my roots mix and a cheep bag of compost at about $4 a 1.5CF bag. I will grow one seed and one clone in this mix and one seed and one clone in the already roots super soil mix. This is going to be some trial and error and the black gold plants will probably under perform compared to the roots plants due to me doing my own thing this grow. I will let you all now how I end up mixing things once it is done.

So I have some pictures today. Clones are looking good now. As you can see I have a little high nitrogen in my veg mix. Talked to the person the clones came from today and confirmed what they are. One is Gorilla Glue and the other is Tahoe OG. Cant say for sure which one is what but I know what they are for sure now. I keep pinching leafs on the clones to keep them small for now so the seeds can catch up. I plan on transplanting the clones in about a week to larger pots. I will be mixing the cheep soil tonight and also decided to try using my sink water, distilled but not PH adjusted to see how it works. I know it is around 8+ out of the tap. The cheep soil is peat based so maybe it will be OK. I will be using lime in the cheep mix too but am hoping the sink water will be fine. I have never growing using sink water before but have used about 1 gallon so far this week on every thing as it was an emergency and every thing is still fine. The plants using super soil will be back on bottled water though. Decided the OG Kush will be in the cheep mix and what I suspect to be the Gorilla glue and what I think is the Tahoe OG and the Blue cheese to go in the super soil mix. Going to just say pic 9-11-16-4 is Tahoe OG , We may never know for sure...
