Call me crazy - I just put my jars in the dishwasher and use the steam/sanitize cycle......squeaky clean every time! I also use the heated dry, and when the cycle is done, I take out the jars and seal the lids on them so they are fresh for the next use. I have tons of jars as I also do pickling and other forms of caning of vegetables, etc. I used to use the iodine solution from when I brew my beer and wine, but now even for brewing I only use the dishwasher to sanitize. Never had a problem since switching to the dishwasher. Quick and easy!
