Hey I'm new Grower or should I say planing on growing. Anyway I was just given a 3x3 tent 4 feet high with fan and carbon filter. All I'm missing is a light pots and seeds. So my question is should I get 3 gallon pots or 5 and what would be a good light for this size tent.

Also what are some good Autos that grow Short.

Personally I would use three gallon in that space.

Regarding short plants, it depends. I recommend going to whichever seedbank you are going to use and utilize their sorting to select short plants. Most have short/medium/tall. However, do not take for granted that strains are the same from breeder to breeder. Even short plants can be medium/tall, and vice-versa.

So the honest answer is check your seedbank and use their sort. But if younorder the same strain from a different seedbank who uses a diiferent breeder, you may not get the same genetics/results.

I gotta go find my spleen truss,

Thanks i think the hardest part of all this is going to be picking out which strain to grow first so many choices is overwhelming lol

I agree on the 3 gallon, grow bags are good and what I use. This is a great light for your space. Biobizz light mix soil is good grow medium. 1 bag of biobizz light mix will fill all four 3 gallon pots. You cud run 4 autos. I'd look for fast growing autos that stay short. Indica dominant autos grow quicker.

@Greensentials :welcome:Welcome to AFN:welcome: I have an 8 foot tall space and it still is not tall enough:crying:. You will be learning about super cropping! There are peeps here growing in computer cases so it can be done in short spaces. :goodluck:

If you do get a medium to taller plant you can always top after 5 nodes of growth (research topping first before attempting) then you can low stress train them and height shouldn't be an issue for ya. Or if you dont want to top you can always just low stress train by tying them down so they Bush out and dont grow too tall. Increases yelields either way. I recommend as a new grower to look at tutorials online for plant training. Theres also scrog nets to control height or fimming or topping or low stress training or supercropping or defoliation of fan leaves at certain points of the plants life like week 4 and 7 roughly for autos. Defoliation is for indoor grows, not needed for outdoor as the sun does its thing. But indoors it allows more light to the lower bud sites creating bigger buds for your lower branches. All plant training methods can increase yields when done right but I recommend researching it. Grow weed easy has some good tutorials online. Google search or ask the awesome community here at AFN. Welcome to the fam!

Definitely going to look up defoliation. I read on all the other training techniques but never stumble upon Defoliation. Wow learn something new everyday.
Thanks for the tip
