Have girl called "Lavender Williams". She's my first auto-flowering plant. There are
casings with flowers dispensing white powder. Is this NORMAL? She is 7 weeks old and her leaves are starting to turn yellow. This morning I noticed a brown spot on her main stem leaching out to side stem. Attempted to cut off yellow leaf and side stem broke off where main stem is browning. What are the flowers producing this white milky effect? They almost look like a seed pod. Could she have turned to a male plant? If she is a lavender colored plant will the pistil turn white and/or trichomes red? HELP, CONFUSED.

PS not a lot of sun on coast for last few days. Would this prevent pistils and trichomes from turning?

Thanx

upload some pics and im sure someone will be along shortly after to help out Katie :peace:

Either she was a male from the beginning or she changed her mind along the way. I think J tang nailed it.

Did lavender williams go hermie?

Thank u for your feedback. I would really like to be more computer savvy; however, it is what it is. Do you really think she went male on me? Further reading @ website stated buds will produce flowers, drop milky white powder, leaves turn green. True? Is this when u should harvest? What is flushing and for how long does this flushing go on? Will upload pics asap. Do u think she's a total loss?

I had 3 hermies on my first grow,I didn't realise the importance of water PH and they punished me. As for the milky powder all I can think that referes to on a fem plant is the resin crystals that for on the flowers and the smaller leaves. The leaves will be green throughout the grow if she is healthy. The flush is basically to rid the soil of the food and minerals that will have built up,u do this by watering 3 or 4 x the volume of your pot ie if u have a 10L pot pass 40L of PHed water through the soil, your plant would just be fed water for 2 or 3 weeks and the plant will actually start to cannibalise herself turning her leaves yellow.
