New Grower New grower tries an Auto BlueMazar

Ok,Ph'd the mix to 5.8 last night and I will check it again tonight before feeding, Ill also make some sort of stand and raise it to the light and see if it will kick start that way.
At least with some Mazar in the house now I'm not getting pressure from the missus and lad so i can afford to play with this one.

@fustipisti it might be another five years:baked: it blew my head off lol.

Fingers crossed that it will help :stir: What was the pH without the adjustment, was it off by a lot?

Oh man, five years :yoinks: I'd miss her :weed: way too much!

Haha, we should have a section for newbies confessions, a place were you can mention all the little mistakes you made and everyone promises not to laugh!!!!!
So this BAM is not doing well at all and i don't think I've done anything particularly wrong then I suddenly remember this.
With this one I decided to try the shot glass method of germination. I don't have shot glasses so used the more sophisticated Espresso cup method. Dropped it in the little cup with a few mils of water into the little propagation box and onto the cable tv box. over 2 days I had to top up the water a few times as it was evaporating. 3rd day topped it up and went to work, when i got in it was bone dry and quite warm to touch but the seed had popped and there was a 3/4 ml tail. So not wanting to waste another couple of days i put a bit more water in let it soak for an hour or two then put it in the pot.
Well as the thread shows it broke soil and seemed to be off to a great start so this little episode got pushed to the back of my mind were it stayed until now.
What do you think fellas? I can't seem to recall reading anywhere that cooking your seed was beneficial.....

@john0108 I can't say shi* about that, cause I did it in December with 8 seeds.lost a cheese, three dragons and four sodk's,but it was on a seed sprouter mat..I was embarrassed as hell but what ya gonna do,pick up the pieces and move forward..that's why I have the redemption journal to get rid of the dragonslayer title...funny stuff there !!!

@john0108 I don't think this was caused by your germination technique since the problems then should have started right off the bat. From the pictures I could just suspect some problem down at the root level, most likely pH shot down and shocked the plant. We can see pretty typical Ca & Mg def problems from the leaf there that indicates low pH in soil. AN Nutrients, even though they advertise they keep the pH stable I also have found it out that no they don't. They do best job on attempting to do so but no.... you cannot trust the pH is going to stay stable. On my DWC system the Sensi Bloom -line had gone from pH 6.0 to 5.3 in a day at the worst of times.

Sorry you had to bin this one, it seemed to go otherwise really good. I'd advice to pay special attention next time on the pH and all things root level :toke:

Cheers @MedGrower I have now got a Bluelab soil pen and am checking daily. As you say it dose seem to fluctuate quite a lot if you don't keep an eye on it, PH at the root and CalMag are the two things that seem to cause me issues so I'm watching them and correcting a lot on my Memphisto plants. Will put another BAM in in a few weeks though. Yours is amazing I've been quietly following along...
