New Grower New Grower need some advice

So I'm about to start my first grow in a couple weeks , it's going to be in bedroom closet about 2m wide by 1.5 high and 1m deep , I'm going to be using a 300w led light from Mars hydro and maybe a couple small cfls would this be a decent set up for my first grow ? I'm going to be using biobizz all-mix as a grow medium and only feed the plant after about 4 weeks as the soil is nutrient rich I'm even thinking of jus giving it bloom nutes as at 4-5 weeks I should be nearing this stage anyway . I haven't decided on a strain yet but think I'm going to get an lsd-25 auto and girl scout cookie auto from Herbie's , are Herbie's decent to buy from ? Any help is welcome as this will be my first grow and I plan on doing a grow log and taking pics along the way to show you all how they are doing . thanks rich

Yes the 300 and a few cfl will work just fine for 2 plants in that space. Herbies is a top rated bank you'll be fine with them and the strains you listed are soilid.. good luck my friend

Thanks for that reassurance IV been doing loads of research and perfecting my grow space just need to wait till I get paid now to order my light and seeds and give this a go thanks again

I'm not sure don't know how to find out it's a Mars hydro 300w I found it on Amazon and it has good reviews and costs £81 , I haven't bought it yet tho do you think I should ?

Depends on how many plants you are trying to grow and what your weight goal is. I would only use this for 1 plant and expect around 3 ounces from it.

Thanks il be growing 2 plants hope to get 1oz plus from each plant as it will be my first ever grow and don't know what to expect and I can't afford more lights at this stage , so il be gradually building up my equipment each month wen I get paid , are the standard bulb cfls any good because I know they are only cheap and I could get a few to boost my light

1 ounce per plant should be easy under that light. Ya CFLs work fine, there what I first started using. I used 3, 26W CFL in the 2,700K and 3, 26W CFL at I believe 5,400K for a total of 6 lights on one power strip using Y fittings screwed in to plug in adapters and secured with Zip ties so they stayed put. They work good. I found I needed a fan on the lights for cooling though as they will get too hot if there is not enough air flow. T5s would be better for side lighting down the road but the CFLs work awesome.

Out of all the lights I have used though between CFL small 26W lights, a 250 CFL , 8 bulb T5, a 250W HPS and a 600W HPS the HPS lights worked the best for me. If you space is small but you can vent the air out of the space through a 4" hole than I would recommend a 250W HPS in a cool tube with an inline fan later down the road. I like to have a lot of light as it gives me good bud density. My 250 HPS worked awesome in small closet. If you can ever get the space for it my 600W makes growing large autos easy as falling off a log and if you want a good size photo plant or a few.

Do u know how much 250w hps cost approx ? Is this the type you need a ballast for ? Luckily my closet already has a vent built into the wall so it should be fine for heat and air circulation Thanks again for all the info and help.
