There was 2 distict pheno types of the island punch 5 of them smelled like black pepper with an earthy hint. The second was really sweet smelling with lemon hints. The smell dry right now is a little like hay but that will go away in the cvaults or at least it did with the Boss Hogg

Ok so I am extremely happy with my first completed grow. I could not have asked for better people to help me get this far I just have one question:
What makes the buds more dense?
On the Boss Hogg they were light and airy but big and on the Island Punch they were denser but not like what you see in the top shelf dispensary stuff.

In my opinion it's a combo of things but dispensary bud is mostly the colas all the nug in Middle of plant gets used for distillate/concentrates all larf and trim ethonal extracted for edibles atleast that is how the place I'm near does. Also dense buds can be genetics how far the light is away wat kind of light how well the light penetrates aswell as nutrients so many things affect that, also dispensary growers have thing 99% dialed in so that makes a large difference. This is the reason you won't see certain sativa genetics specificly as land race Asian sativas have a very airy bud structure and is not very attractive to the eye so it's not grown. Do a search to see wat bud looked like in early 60s you will be surprised at wat you find.
