DIY New cabinet design

Thanks all for the kind words and rep, it is appreciated :toke:

When I started to design this cabinet I had no idea how to use design software (CD/DVD protections was my thing, well helping others to copy them anyway), I tried Sketckup first then tried several other programs (which were not free, trial shit). Note to software developers, having a trial start and end date stored in my registry will not encourage me to buy it. Making good software will tho :)

Anyhow after a while I went back to sketchup and persevered, after a bit of poking I had a basic cabinet that I hated so I started again, once I had the base how I wanted many of the other bits just fell into place...
And there is nothing wrong with pen and paper, its just a little harder to change things about.

Good luck on your cabinet building adventure Dopey Jim, dont forget to make a thread here in the DIY section so we can all watch it happen (and help if needed).

It is time to dig this thread up, cabinet changes are afoot!

So folks I have a birthday coming up soon and this year I decided my family would be getting me 2 x 135w Blackstar LED's.
The family has agreed and we are all happy :booya:
Last night the wife bought home a new 250GB Xpox...fuck I love gift getting time!

Not real sure on what I am changing around yet...I need to go back to staring at the cabinet until something pops.....

Still got a couple of weeks to get a clue, then design, then build...w00t

Man.. this thread is a flash back to when I had just joined a year ago (lol was my afn b'day yesterday), I remember reading this through. Still getting kicks out of how your like "I have decided my familys getting me 2x 135W BS LEDs" not to mention when you were tossing up between 2x 135s or a 240 and the family were now the ones proding you for what Light equip you wanted:p

Now you can maybe knock out that middle wall and have yourself some more Stunted action going on in there! Will be a pretty wide space which is where two LEDs spread out is better than one central one.

Grats on the xbox and coming LEDs. Gaming and grow equip.. your family knows how to treat the head of the house:check:

I might suggest getting the lights first then continue your staring and pondering before action. Will be hard to think over after a cooltube.

Hey there Vaped, I aint forgotten about ya my friend, been super busy these last couple of days....

So Stunted has had his birthday and the twins have been delivered as requested :D

The funny thing is I still dont know what I am changing with the cabinet, I have put in a lot of vaping and staring but still no ideas are popping.....

You forgot all about me:cry: Where's the broken heart icon when you need it!..
Those babies are looking PIMP Bud, some minor changes since I had my 135W. Looks like they switched to matt black from polished finish and the vents over the fans on back were raised stainless steel I think. Too many BS LEDs ago to remember now haha.
Nothing "Stunted Blackstars" about it, first time I turned em on always seems to be directly into my eyes:twist: OUCH!
Hope they bring you some lovely dense nugs with tight nodes!:smokebuds:Happy B'day Stunt.

So once again the cabinet will sit waiting.....

If the lady will allow, a logitech mx518 gaming mouse has two extra programmable buttons that I use for shift and delete on sketchup. That allows me to pan zoom and orbit without using the keyboard. Any programmable mouse will do the trick. That's just the creme de la creme of optical mice. I've been modeling for years and I've tried almost every single piece of software out there and if you can't afford 3d studio max, and lets be honest who can, just dl sketchup. I always come back to it.

Re: your cab - very clean set up. Inspiring to say the least.

Hey Stunted awesome cab bro. I do have a question since you took the 250watt hps out how about letting me use it? Ha!Ha!

They look great in there man! Nice work with the cords mine just hang in the grow hoping they sprout some buds to...
That is some mad glow in there, I just finished putting my 50W in with my 100W and it is nothin in comparason bro.
The outtake being used for the cooltube will be well enough to take out any heat those 2 units can produce:thumbs:
Hate the chains supplied, they are soo long but you've got the room, can't wait to see some plants growing and see if their structure is much different.
Must have spent a bit on the rewiring to get the misses looking over your sholder! Seems like all the big $$$ have been invested now so should be smoother sailing soon. Here's hoping:vibe:They really look beatiful mate, hope you enjoy:smokebuds:
