Lighting New Build: HLG's Diablo Boards on a 600R heatsink

 hey pop, looking phat-city in there with these lights!
I'm looking into a small QB for my 4x2, something to work the tent center and leave the AutoCOB's for ends as needed. That 135w kit looks mighty enticing,... I'm not well versed with QB's, brands and all that shizzle, but HLG is top grade goods, now with the far red additions even better! Would you say for the $200 kit this is solid value? I have a friend who can help, plus he has solder iron. The video seems pretty straight forward, main worry was the different color codes on wires, but that was addressed in the video...
Otherwise pre-assembled stuff is either dubious or spendy! ...whaddya think? :smoking:

I have a 32"x32"x60" tent. In it I have 2 auto cobs and a QB 324 ( no longer available ) running at 110 watts. I've pulled a gram a watt from that tent with no effort at all, and with planning and the right strain, could easily exceed that. I think that light is a great value and will work very well in your tent.

Hell, I hated taking down my old, QB 304s, I've gotten almost 4 years from them. They've worked flawlessly. I went to the Diablo because I could! This will be my last major upgrade fo. r a long time, as this was not a cheap upgrade. But these boards bring the long sought promise of a 400 watt light that will stomp a 1000 watt HPS in all areas, production, potency and terpenes.

HLG's boards cost a little more, but not really a lot more than the copies, but NO LED company exceeds their customer service, and that's what truly sold me on horticultural Lighting Group.

And I decided to wait to run it. I ordered a pair of HLG240H-C2100b drivers, the same I have on my other Diablo light. Then I'll adjust it to 400 watts from the wall, the same as my other light. I've got some photoperiods including Wedding Cake waiting to go under this light!

:pighug: thanks buddy! I'd say for the small bit of work time put into DIY, for the $ and quality it's hard to beat....
I'm sure AFN has tried to land them 1-2x, but nothing came of it sadly!
Do you have any tips for coupons when buying direct (assuming you did)?
I've also been looking at Micro, and at the new guy here FTG AGRO Lighting Infinity board....

I'll see what I can find!

Got the light working with the existing driver till my new ones get here. She's currently running at 210 watts lol! I calculated the PPFD to be 696 PPFD...... at 210 watts! 3.06 μmoles/joule!

I'm trying something new also. I got a cable ratchet made by Vivosun. No rope to rot and fail. I got one to test and I like it! Smooth and easy to use, and I trust it more than the rope style ( dropped a 22"22" 23 pound light on my plants........... in a 32"x32" tent........... squashed everything! I mean flattened! Rope in the rope ratchet failed. Second pic I think you can see the cable ratchet, at the front postion.
