Day 5

She's looking good I pushed a bit of soil up against the stalk but not much. Leaf 3 and 4 are growing well and leaf 1 and 2 look like they're bout to split fingers not sure what it's called when that happens or if there is a technical term for it. No water today or yesterday top of soil is still a bit damp and bottom of pot is still saturated.

I also made a few reflectors out of the reflective paper I used on the wall for my homemade lights.
Not sure how efficient they are but I figure there better then nothing.

Day 6

Well she's growing I think she's doing well but I'm no expert. I added a 5th light so I now have 4x 10 watt led 5000k and 1x 20 watt cfl in the 3000k range.
She hasn't had any water since day 3, when I checked lasted night the bottom of the pot was still saturated and the top was damp. The top isn't damp anymore so I will give a light mist with spray bottle on top tonight but no water till tomorrow because the bottom of the pot is still quite moist.

Day 7

So today marks the first official week. I haven't watered her since day 3 hoping she would suck the moister out of the soil witch she did. She had her first real watering today at 11 am and took 3/4 of a gallon of air stoned water. I did notice that one of her leaves is hanging a bit funny and is still doing so 9 hrs after watering so I don't think its because shes thirsty will be keeping an eye on it and any input or advice is welcome see pics. All and all a good week things are going better then I thought with the light set up I have now but tomorrow my 300 watt mars-hydro lamp should be here.

plants will droop like that after watering. If she still looks like that say 3 days from now, you over watered. Let that pot dry until it feels light when you lift it.

a spare pot potted up with dry soil sat in a corner somewhere,is my fav guide as to when to water or not.
lift pots up each day,get a feel for them takes time.
as pop22 says watering and lights off they tend to droop a lil, then perk back up at lights on again.
can see it on a time lapse video, they flap like birds wings.
maybe next time only water half as much, see how long it takes to dry out.
keep er lit.

pop and Archie gave you excellent advice on that. I know cause I still kinda scratch my head a little, damp is good but will it carry the pot till I can get to her again and the like. I'm using 5gal pots and think it can make it harder, Ilike Archie's idea of dry pot to lift. specially for Noob like me. Man you've done a great job with your standby light system, no over stretch. Just really healthy. I'm excited for ya :goodluck:
