Grow Mediums New autopot questions

I've been looking for good answers through search but havent found them exactly. Ive only done hydro (undercurrent), hempy and soil (ffof). I just bought a autopot x4 setup. Super excited about it. Everyone says coco is awesome, but ive never used it. Id like to know someone who uses promix or coco w an easyish regiment and autopots who is generally successful. I found hansbrick. Im trying to figure out what is best. I know organics dont mix w autopots unless mixed into soil. I got some megacrop to do next grow as i heard its great. I do not have alot of time as my responsibilities and work schedule are generally incredible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Im in the US. What is best promix or coco w autopots? What is best nutes (yield/quality) for coco, that go well with megacrop? Do i have to go RO water im on tap previously and doing good, not great. Ty for whatever help in advance.

Coco only. Add hydroton at 20 percent if u want. But get good coco like canna bricks.0
RO only so there is no doubt and less chance of clogs. I switched to ro from tap and its cleaner. My tap was medium hard.
Pick a decent nute. Tangs Easy using AN bloom a/b is good. Google tangs easy schedule.
Do not do hp promix at all costs. Too risky. Shitty drainage. Bugs in bales. AVOID it like the plague.

I use plain Canna coco bricks in Autopots. First grow was with Hansbrick/Tangs AN schedule. Then my last grows were with Megacrop w/their bloom boosters, and final grow was Megacrop w/GreenLife Biotics MC & Bloom. I used RO water on the first run then switched to well water. If your going to run tap just leave it out before to help remove the chlorine. Here are a few pics of my last 2 grows with Megacrop/Autopots

Air domes or no??? Ive seen it go both ways. I dont believe i will be using AN. I have before and they do good, but i believe there is much more simple/cheaper ways that are just as good imo

I use Megacrop as well. If you don't do RO with MC you'll likely get some pretty crusty build up in the autopot res and trays and lines.

Airdomes is a toss up. Some have found they don't do anything. Some say they do. Some say they do but only under conditions like using a coco medium and only in small pots.

Much like you work and life leave me with little time and a wonky schedule. I decided to use biotabs with autopots, mainly because I can fill up the resovoir with water+calmag and be gone for a week with no problems or worries of clogged valves. I have used both well water and RO water, but now just use RO water as it keeps the Autopot valves and lines much cleaner. I also use fox farms coco loco as the medium, it comes with perlite and other beneficial additives pre mixed. Whatever you do, be sure to use calmag from the start and stay on top of it, especially with RO water, coco, and led. Also, think about a booster (tea or something) to add 1 x per week during flower if you use biotabs. If you go with Megacrop you may want to think about adding drip clean to help with the salt buildup in the Rez, lines, and valves.

Edit....I use airdomes too, they seem to really help growth.

I do use the airdomes in my pots and haven't tried without. I turn on the air at day 15 and then the res get's turned on at day 20. I also use Drip Clean in my res just as a piece of mind to keep the lines clear and I don't empty the res just refill when needed from veg to bloom.

Here is the schedule I used with Megacrop and their bloom if you would like to follow it. They've gone away from some of their bloom boosters but you have others by them that are close. Redline is 1-5-4
Mother Monarch is 0-52-32

I use Canna Coco bricks so my precharge to rehydrate is 2 grams Megacrop , 1 gram Sweet Candy, 8mls Earth Juice Oily Cann Calmag per gallon. It will take almost 4 gallons to make up their package of 40L brick. Then before I place germed seed into pot each pot get's 1.5L of the same nutes.
Day 5 from sprout they get 500mls same nutes
Day 10 750ml-1L same nutes
Day 15 1L same nutes and turn on airdomes if you have them
Day 20 mixed up 5 gallons of same nutes for the reservoir and turned on and final top water of about 1L each from the res to make sure the pots were evenly saturated and start drawing from the tray.
Day 30 filled reservoir with Megacrop 3 grams, 1.2 grams Sweet Candy, 8mls OilyCann Calmag per gallon, 1ml DripClean per 10 Liters
Day 40 @ 4g Megacrop and 1.2g Sweet Candy, 8mls OilyCann Calmag can start adding Redline 1.2 grams per gallon, 1ml DripClean per 10 Liters
Day 50 @ 4g Megacrop and 1.2g Sweet Candy, 8mls OilyCann Calmag, 1.2 grams Redline, 0.5 grams Mother Monarch per gallon, 1ml DripClean per 10 Liters


You'll kinda have to adjust days depending on how much they use from the reservoir from day 20 - 40 they'll be using about 10 gallons a week for 4 plants. Day 40 on is about 10 gallons every 5 days for me right now. At around day 65-70 I'll cut the Megacrop back down to 3 grams per gallon when filling the reservoir as I increase the Mother Monarch for the final push. Hope this helps

I think I will use that or hydro guard on my next grow, I do notice the need for it...

Auto-domes I haven't tried yet.. I wanted see what Kind of results I get using as is..My next grow I will add the air-domes and if they really give a 300% increase that should be very noticeable on my grows... I have 3ft plants, so a 300% increase should be super noticeable!
