Grow Room Need opinions on ionizers

Have been thinking about selling my inline exhaust fan and my carbon filter because I dont use them because the exhaust fan is really loud. I know I can get a muffler for the fan but that is going to cost me about $120 and they only "reduce the noise". I'm thinking of selling my stuff and buying a ionizer. I should be able to get $250-$350 for the exhaust fan and carbon filter and was looking at getting this ionizer which I'll have to put about the same money towards. It reads good and is cheaper to run but I haven't used any sort of ionizer before so I cant make the call. What opinions do you guys/gals have?? Pro's/Cons?? Thanks for your help. SHKM.

I don't have personal experience with ionizers in my grow room but from what I've heard - they do wipe out the smell - completely wipe. Buds won't smell at all even when out of the room.

Yeah really?? So they wipeout EVERY smell...man, thats no good. I love the smell of my weed. I wonder if I could keep it in the veg room or in the room next to it and exhaust the air from the flower room into that room eliminating the smell in the air but not in the flower room... I have a little window fan that could push the air thru into the next room, its not strong enough to push air thru the carbon filter but it works for moving air. I'll have a look at that.

Common guys there must be people out there using them??

Im also considering an ionizer as well as a carbon filter but am very interested in any odour measures that work.

my boys using an ionizer and it kills. you cant smell the bud unless you put your nose to it. even then its fairly faint. im really lucky. my room is at the top of a dead end hallway. air always/only goes through the hallway towards me and then straight up to my window and then up and over my house. sucks all the smell out of my room and drops it two streets over. hahahaha everytime i walk over there i smell my herb.
