First off let me introduce myself, FrankieJ23 I am on forums on various other sites lurking, researching etc and have come to a stump with an indoor garden... Also this was posted on another forum but not 1 person responded after 4 hours asking for pictures and what strains I am going with...

My first attempt at indoor went south (about 2 years ago) as I was new to all the methods, Instead I stayed with outdoor with great yields and amazing end product.

So here I am back to indoor where I am trying to keep it simple but produce the same as what was yielded outdoors, I know this is near impossible. For those of you who have had outdoor crops know what I am talking about....

The space that is being used is in a basement near a boiler room... There is going to be sheet rock and insulation between the boiler room and garden room. The room is being built as I make decisions, The space size can change if needed to benefit the garden. I am thinking of using 2 x 12" OR 2 x 8" inline fans to pull air IN, 1 x 8" inline fan to blow OUT, & have a 4-6" scrubber inside the garden. (note: all inline fan's will be setup with charcoal filtration).

I would like to go with Kannabia seeds as there auto's SUPERSEDED themselves outside, I am not much of a picture guy as security is key but 6'+ on some. I want to stay with auto's because of obvious reasons. I am willing to try other breeders but only reputable one's since 50 new company s offer the same auto-flower just a different default image or a different cross. I think keeping it simple but trying to produce the amounts you want is where growers and smokers are different....

Thus the dilemma making what I have come together...

Budget = None really but hate double spending, I'd rather buy a little bigger then having to buy 5 x 4" inline fans erratically instead of just buying a 12" for air flow in and having a 6" inline pump out and have a 4" inside as a scrubber... but hey what do I know about indoors (seriously)

Room size: 84"x72"x82"

Lights already acquired: 3 x 400w HPS bat-wing reflector setup with dimming ballast / Also have a 600w HPS setup bat-wing etc. (4 in total) - Also have countless fluorescent T8/T12'S

Also have a tent (4x2x5) thinking about using it for clones/veg in a separate room inside a closet....

Soil wise going with bumper crop... in 5gal buckets, nutes on hand is technflora success kit which was for free so why not use them...

All thoughts, Criticism, Advise... Anything to better my garden would be greatly appreciated.

Please people I need some help with what direction to plant my garden in....

As for strains I am gonna most likely go with the Kannabia BNC Disel Auto Max, 10 of them and 10 white domina auto max - both seem to be solid before they added max into it. I have 2 haze strains on the way also but only 5 of each...

I am not much of a soil guy indoors and just wanted to throw in about your choice. Diesels tend to be stinky indoors. You are totally right about Kannabia being a great seed company. Inside I tend to grow the shorter ones cause of height. Cloning and autos don't really go hand in hand. Occaisionly you can get clones off of some of the slow ones like Super Cali Haze but I am not sure if the ones you are ordering will clone well. I have a couple of favorites that i like indoors that I am going to suggest Mi5, Auto Assasin, Russian Rocket fuel and Cobra. Dope-seeds above have them all. Muddy will probably come on and answer most of your questions as he grows inside in containers. I am a hydro bubbly tank guy. I grow under CFLs. If you are growing in the Summer be warned high intensity Lights can be hot.

I've taken all of that into consideration, For cloning etc I was able to clone kannabia before to start big guys outdoors so if it goes good then what the hell if not i will be able to use the fluoresent lights either way and the tent for starting seedlings and veg etc... I kind of need the diesel, like a crack for me =/ but seed wise i am not even going to go crazy over because i know with the lights i have on hand 50 auto's would be manageable.... i have a decent amount of room.... basically 7'x6'x7' also for smell i don't mind having inline fans going, more co2 the better

For that size room, 294 cubic feet, one 8" exhaust fan should be sufficient. Most pull around 700 cfm, so can change the air in that room 2x a minute. An intake fan isn't a must, a passive intake would probably work fine. If you feel you need one, just match it to the exhaust fan. As to you lighting, figure 50 - 60 watts per square foot, so around 2,500 watts total.

Like Nelson, I'm skeptical about cloning autos. I would suggest using your tent to veg your next crop from seed. Assuming a 12 week cycle, start new seeds about 4 weeks before harvest so they are sexed and ready to go under the flowering lights as soon as you harvest. Turn your flowering area over every 8 weeks for maximum harvests.

Also, 5 gallon pots may be a little overkill for most autos strains. Usually 3 gallon are sufficient. Save yourself a little soil per pot and put in more pots.

Really you think a passive intake would be sufficient? I am located in a climate that is 20-60F in the winter months and 50+ the majority of the year... Maybe use passive intake in the winter or cooler months but if heat gets bad im going to need more intake. I like the 4:1 ratio cevantis talks about since if the room has a vacuum effect it will have a consistent flow of fresh air equaling in more co2... correct me if i am wrong about any of this... I just want to learn what works for indoors.

Lumens per square foot is 6K its 42sq ft, total ofwattage is 250,000 like you stated

Reason I was thinking 5gals was because of autos loving more root space.... And reading dr. auto's posts he says the same thing... I mean with 3-4gals i can have more plants growing smaller but i could cut of smaller nodes to create a more solid focus on the main colas... all very debatable

Off the top of my head I can't think of anyone around here to is using an intake blower. I'm sure there are, but most of use are just using passive intakes. With all those HPS lights heat may be more of an issue, especially in the summer. I suspect you're probably going to need an A/C unit to keep it under control. If that ends up being the case, then too much air flow will be pulling all your cooled air out.

There are some auto strains that will benefit from a bigger pot. I'm growing some Samurai Jacks right now in 4.5 gallon ones. But those plants are well over 3' high. For most dwarf strains I stay with the 3 gallon ones and get good size plants and excellent yields.

Thinking to do 6" for in air 4" air out and 4" scrubber.... also going to have axial fans going to cool the hoods, Going to mount them to the reflector so that it cools the top and have oscolating fans so that the blubs don't get to hot and think with this way i would be ok... Reason I don't want to use the passive intake is because 30+ auto's need a sufficient amount of fresh air..

2500 watts is to much for a standard 20 amp breaker/receptical.

your suppose to have more exhaust than intake, id do the 4" intake with a 6" exhaust with 6"scrubber.. a 4" inline would bring in pleanty of fresh air for you IMO....

also the bat wing reflectors might work good to spread light but think about getting air cooled hoods. you could hook them directly to your exhaust and pull the hot air from the bulbs out of the grow room. in doing that you are also able to keep the lights closer to the tops and get bigger denser flowers.
