Need Help For Experienced Growers

I have a 4x4 tent. 1000w hps/mh i plan on dimming 25% which i assume would make it 750w. I want to use mephisto/bomb seeds/dutch passion. I want maximum yield. Using Roots Organic rogf/Fox Farm Coco Loco. With Super soil concentrate. My question is for a SOG style grow for maximum yield how many plants could i fit in this space? I ordered (5)5gal air pots. But i assume this size would be too large for a sog style for autos going for maximum yield. So im thinking 3gal? If so how many could i fit in 4x4 space? Strain dependent of course. I want at least 1lb. And second question in order to do sog with autos is there anything different i should do? Thanks.

I have fit twelve 2 gallon pots (not recommended), nine 3 gallon pots, five 5 gallons....these days I run four 10 (or sometimes 7) gallon pots. My best yields have come from 4 of the bigger pots....averaging around a pound each harvest (give or take...least was around 12 ounces.) It is a lot of work tending to much more than five plants (in my opinion). Hope it helps.

I did a SOG a while back with grape walker kush, 15- 3 gallon fabric pots of compost in a 4 x 4, 4 - 75 watt cobs. Harvested just over a lb of some great herb.

I would allow for four plants taking up a 2 x 2 area of the scrog each. Should be able to get 8oz off each plant if it's suitable for a scrog.

this just a personal answer and what i would in you space...

9 plants (maybe 12 at a push) in 8ltr to 10ltr (2gallon) fabric pots (fabric pots will make the plant think its in a larger pot.... more root, more fruit), I would also use a trellis net with large holes (4") to help spread them out during the stretch and maybe tie the few tall branches down if they get to close to the light... for yield you best doing a SOG and not a SCROG with auto's... SCROG'ing autos can be hit of miss.
