Live Stoner Chat Need help dealing with anxiety !

Be the master of your thoughts. Be the one to control them not the other way around. It is all mental... ur mind will run wild playing tricks on you if you allow it to do so. Never really had a problem with weed.. but I have eaten too many shrooms once or twice and had to calm myself down by just talking to myself.." I'm ok, Ive felt fine all day.. its this substance making me feel this way.. I am fine " and just ride the wave dude!
 
I can get this as well when too high... it is part that you are too high which brings on quite strong physical effects and a potential susceptibility to panic attacks, racy heart, claustrophobic, dry mouth, feels like tight chest and harder to breathe, getting hot or cold, weak legs and arms, bit dizzy, highly spaced out and can make you want to wretch over the loo if you overate, make you a bit nauseous. I found these youtube videos on the subject.... I think some people are more susceptible to anxiety/panic attacks etc.

Be super vigilent with your dose, smoke little take it easy wait and then have a little more later. I eat herb and dosing can be very tricky so I often come a cropper and get to mangled up and end up on my back. I think the best plan is not getting to high and finding that balance between nicely/heavily stoned and WTF:jaw:

I tend to try and breath a little more deeply, drink some orange juice (if you can stomach it) and also eat some real licorice, this raises the blood pressure if you can eat quite a bit. Cannabis reduces blood sugar and blood pressure so these can help take the edge off it and provide a psychological helping hand too.

Focus on strains that say "euphoric" and avoid strains that say "introspective" and probably strains that say "creative"

Look for strains that report being kind. Look for strains that specifically say they are not anxious.



And seriously - go to the woods alone, or in your room alone and take a one hitter. And take one hit and see what happens. Find your dose in private, then take half that in public.

And seriously- why the second trip to the hospital? Did you think it was something else? Just like acid- sometimes you gotta ride it out. As soon as you start getting too "high" or moving toward anxiety- EAT FOOD. knock that buzz down.

read some where on the net that low sugar can contribute to it as well. the story said some fruit or juice 1/2 hour before smoking may help.
could be true or BS i dont know.
