Lighting Need fast response! Question about which LED to use in my setup

I would keep it between 6-12" IF their par values are actually correct. Here's some literature on PAR and stuff. If you need any help just message me, I can't help with soil growing but training techniques and other little fun things I can help with. I'm a crappy hydro(?) grower but for the money we spend as a hobby and to meditate ourselves it's always nice to find a few choice friends that can be used a resources in a pinch. Link me your journal when it's up and going. Mine is down below in my Sig but it it's a photo period whereas if you search my 00 seeds thread I have a northern lights grow documented almost daily.

Good luck on your purchase and grow. If I'm not helpful then @archie gemmill can point the way. He's like sriracha, he's on everything lol

Amazon must be killing it selling all these lights. People so badly want to believe that they can cover huge tents for a few bucks in light that the pretty pictures and fancy graphs become believable.

I personally believe that 75% of anyone’s budget should be spent in the light and it should be the first purchase that the rest of the grow room is built around. The response is usually always the same, I’ll buy a better one later I just want to get by. I think you can get by with a lot of temporary equipment. But the lights have one of the largest factors in whether you grow successfully.

Can you grow with Amazon lights? Kinda

Do we know everyone is on a budget? Of course we do

Why do we try to make suggestions for the best light possible? Because we want to help everyone avoid lessons that have already been learned here many times over.

I live HLG but it’s not in everyone’s budget that doesn’t DIY

Strips are great but once again a bit more knowledge is usually required to feel comfortable about a purchase.

But for short money Autocob from reputable sellers or the singles from HLG or Rapid should be the first light anyine that wants to grow canna should buy.

Just grow one plant, it only takes 90 days. Then grow 2,3,4 100 and buy more lights. Rushing a light decision at the last minute without the proper budget won’t help your grow. Buy the best light you can. If it can only grow 1 plant I guarantee you’ll have a huge happy plant and a successful grow. It’s very tough to get help and feedback about your grow when your largest component is something no one else is using.

I feel you like 110%. I wasn't planning on buying a light period. If you want you can follow my grow journal I just started and see what I'm talking about. Just something to do with my climate in the summer and not feeling comfortable with an outdoor grow because of it. So buying a tent and a light was never something I had planned on for my budget. Instead of $150 dollars in seeds, soil, and nutes I'm already pushing closer to $800. Not to seem like a prick that is blowing you off but I need to consider that when I'm making my purchases. There will always be room to grow my operation in the future but even with a decent first harvest I will be content. There is nowhere to go but up from here. Ya know?
