Need advice on whether or not to start building seedbank?

Hi guys, I've been using as a medical user for a very severe illness (Near fatal at times) for over a decade and really found great help from this plant. I've been growing for a few years too due the fact that cannabis is still totally illegal in my country, both medicinally and recreationally. I used to use street weed but I need quite a significant amount of it to cover me these days. So the street weed isn't an option from a cost or a health perspective, which led me to becoming a grower.

I choose mainly Autoflowers from the start as they suited the guerrilla style growing I had to do in my apartments smallest room. I began playing around with different genetics from breeders I liked like Mephisto, Tiki-Madman, fast-buds and soma etc. to target the traits I personally liked and have developed a few of my own breeds with the help of a few other growers and breeders. I have seeds in small amounts of different breeds that were originally just for me.

Anyway fast forward to now, I've been doing pretty well health wise and have been saving for the last 5 years to be able to afford to move to a country where I can use my medicine legally. In a few months I'll finally be moving and I’ll also be able to grow and breed my seeds without the risk of having the police at my door or worse, prosecuted as a dealer if I have too many plants.
A friend recommended that I start producing small batches and selling them to make income after I move. My family has a history of commercial agriculture and tree genetics going back 3 generations, so I've had help and some of my seeds are very good. I also have a decent understanding of how to manufacture and brand, so I was thinking of selecting a few of my favourite Autos and producing some small craft batches of them. I always read the reddit and AFN boards when I have questions, so I came here so to see if any of you guys have any insight. So do you think it would work or be worth doing? Or does anyone have advice for someone thinking of starting out?

there is only one way to find out my friend and thats do it you will never know till you try ( cliche as that may be its true )

my advice for you is to start a thread in the breeders section show people what your about and some of your grows/strains if people are interested then you will know if there is a market for what your offering
look forward to seeing some of your creations in the future

First of all let me welcome you to this great community. Loads of nice people here and lot's of information to be found.
I'm sorry to hear of your illness and even more so about your country's rules and regulations (if you can call it that!). I'm sorta in the same boat, not that I have a severe illness, but I do have issues with my lower back and smoking one in stead of taking mussle relaxants is a nice change of pace... I also live in a narrow minded country that spends Millions on benefits for large company's, but just a tiny amount of that on healthcare. Go figure!

I do hope that everything works out for you as relocating isn't a small feat. That being said, I wish you the very best in your future endeavors and as TF said. Try and you'll find out. I'll also be watching around for your posts and hope to see some nice genetics presented here.

Too right man. Thanks for the encouragement man, I was procrastinating a bit but the positive comments are making me think I should just go for it. As for starting a thread in the breeder section, should I wait till I've selected which strains I'm going with and made a few batches first?

Yeah those muscle relaxants will get ya man. I was addicted to sleeping pills, Fentanyl and Oxy for years. These Autoflowers are literally giving my life back. Hope the weed reduced your prescription needs big time Bob, and hopefully your country will change their mindset eventually. I feel it's nearly a violation of the human rights of the people in your country that really need it.

Anyway, I really appreciate the support. I decided this morning I'm definitely doing it, I'll send you and Trichome Farmer Dm's in a few months to throw you out some of the first batches to get your feedback, it'll help me draw up my datasheets too.
