Hi all,

I've been lurking in here for a while now and picked up a lot of tips.
Special mention to AutoBeast by the way because his topping tutorials have helped me immensely!

Anyway... Here's the thing... I'm about to start my first run with Autoflowers and need some advice.
I currently have a 2m x 2m tent and 4 600w parabolics, but due to heat/cost etc, I can't run all 4 for the 18 hours.
My plan is to run the lamps 12/12 so costs don't jump up much and to alternate them diagonally... So if you image the 2x2 footprint of the tent and divide it into quarters, the top left and bottom right would run midday to midnight and the bottom left top right runs midnight - midday.
This way, each plant would get 12 hours of direct over head light and 12 hours of sidelighting/overspill light per day, so never truly in the dark.

What do you think? Could this work? Would it be effective?

Thanks

12/12 will debilitate the grow. Most likely a smaller plant with less yield etc.

I think he wants to stagger lighting for a 24/0 with 2 lights running per 12 hour cycle and when that's up the other 2 fire on to make up the other 12hours

You would be better off to run whatever lighting you can 24-0 and grow whatever number of plants will fit under that light. You just won't get thick heavy buds at 12 hours intense light with side lighting each day. You could literally end up with a larfy pound of not enough light bud or grow one plant under one of those lights that makes a pound and its all good bud.

I understand what your trying to do but I think the plants will not be at full capacity or anywhere near. I agree with jingo why not just run 2 the right way and if you use the training tech you learned from ash a ton you will come out with a quality plant and a quality yield. Cheers

Hi all,

Thanks for the replies.

I'm just going to run 2 600's 20-4 or 24-0.

I was trying to get maximum bang for my buck so I don't have to do it again for a while as the wife isn't thrilled with the idea. But going off what you've said, I'll probably end up with the same amount but running the two lights will be much better bud than half-arseing it with 4 and ending up with the airy crap.

Thanks for your input everyone.
