So guys I am completely new I mean I understand some things that I have been reading but the nutrients, for some reason I have not yet found a complete dumbed down version for a simple mind like mine. I have my set up but have not yet purchased any nutrients because I feel like I just don’t have a good enough understanding on what I should get. All I need is a SUPER basic guide for my first grow.

My first grow I’m thinking will start my first grow with 3 Cream of the Crop KO Crop, mainly because breeder says it’s an extremely easy plant to grow.

All I want is to get my first one out of the way and any help would be much much appreciated!

I would say, look up Biotabs or Greenleaf Nutrients-Mega Crop on here...both simple enough and don't have to buy 10 different things and get caught up in gimmicks and BS.:d5:
I know there are other options too, but that's a start. Good luck man! And :welcome:

@EPDMGUY Welcome to AFN. To get someone’s attention put the at-mark @ in front of their AFN name like I did for you.

A rudimentary understanding of nutrients is important for even your first grow. I congratulate your for not just jumping in the deep end as many do. We will have you growing in no time. I recommend you Google liebig's Law of the Minimums. It is a simple concept with great value.

What type of grow are you planning soil, coco coir, DWC, etc.?

Be sure to tag me with a response.

@Mañ'O'Green
Set up:
3x3x6.5 Tent
2) Mars SP-150s
2) 353CFM fans one in one out

Medium plans:
3 parts peat moss
3 parts compost
2 parts perlite
1 part vermiculite

Just for some reason the nutrients were confusing because I see some people using 10+ additives makes my head spin lol

A lot of the reason for the multiple additives is to hot rod things.... great plants can be grown with simple veg and flower nutrients. The line I'm running can be pretty complex, but when boiled down it's an A and a B, and then things I've added "looking" for more flavor, size, color etc.
Have been watching the bio tabs, looks like a simple straight forward way to get in, then if you want to change things up, you can read and research while a grow is moving.

First time round and too keep prices low, just get a simple bio soil.

Biobizz light mix is excellent,
Add some biosys charge too it mix it all up.

Bio bizz fish mix for veg

Flowering batguana and some canna bio flower at the starting.

Forget ph meter and ec meter.

Water steadily, keep root zone warmer than atmosphere, because organics work on root zone temperature.

Tang does an excellent beginner guide for advanced nutrients. Its ph perfect and his measured out the units fairly well.

The biggest thing that will make all the difference is the grow lights.

Want everything solid organics... Get the full canna bio line. ... And there soil you wont be dissaoointed. They had a gnat issue but its all solved know.

Id personally look for biotabs and autopots with an air stone in the pots. Simply speaking its the best option..... And the ideal set up.

Ok so the addition of compost makes this a soil grow. I would go with the GreenLeaf nutrient line You can get a free sample of the MegaCrop that will do a complete grow. MegaCrop2.0, Cal-Mag Pro, Bud Explosion, Sweet Candy and the Kelp Extract. Buy smallest packages of the add-ons. You may never need the add-ons but you want them on hand in case you do and get some Mykos and if your budget allows some Mammoth P.

@EPDMGUY
This is a nute schedule I have for Fox Farms Trio.

Week - (All measurements Per I gallon water)

1 – Ph’d Water Only

1.5 – Add Big Bloom to water @ ½ tsp

2 – ½ tsp Grow Big & ½ tsp Big Bloom

2.5 – ¾ tsp Grow Big

3 – 1 tsp Grow Big, ½ tsp Tiger Bloom & ½ tsp Big Bloom

3.5 – ½ tsp Grow Big, ½ tsp Tiger Bloom

4 – 1 tsp Tiger Bloom, ½ tsp Grow Big

4.5 – Ph’d Water (To clear out salt buildups)

5 - 2 tsp Tiger Bloom, ½ tsp Grow Big

5.5 – 1 tsp Grow Big

6 – You can begin to flush or continue to slowly reduce or increase nutes as to what your plants tell you they need.

(This is a schedule from a few years ago and obviously you can adjust as you go and as per the life cycle of your particular strain)

I also add 1 tsp to each gallon of water of Cal/Mag, I may add a bit more if my plants show any signs of deficiency. I will increase cal/mag if needed.

I have also been adding ½ tsp of Great White to each gallon and my plants seem to like it. I also occasionally add a little Molasses every once in a while.
