Lighting Nebula Splits the 8x4 - 220 watts of Autocob vs 915 watts of HID

Let me get this out of the way first

15 days ago I received 4 autocobs from @BigSm0
This Skylar White was 15 days old. Now it won't stop growing! Help me Sm0! You didn't tell me I would have to train my plants


I have decided to add another 50 gallon tub o' nugs to the tent, with the fresh mephisto beans just arrived this week. Four strains. One each will be going into the 50 gal. This tub will be next to another tub, taking up approx. 4x4.

I thought it would be a fun idea to cram my 600 w hps and 315 w cmh into half of the tent.
It's now a split tent. 220 watts of autocob vs. 915 watts of HID. (there's a little overlap from the cmh, couldn't cram it all the way in the other half of tent )

2 autocobs are placed above each 50 gallon tub.


These beans will be going into this tub

Tea brewing now at 20 hours. Will be drenching soil tonight and planting seeds 24 hours later. Soil already moistened with a little ful power and recharge.

This tea is a bag of the Bu's Biodynamic compost tea, with a 1/4 cup each of kelp and alfalfa added as well as some oregonism xl. And a handful of EWC from the worm bin


There is yucca in oregonism which I believe is creating the foam.

I would really like to do a scrog over both tubs here. I'm thinking I build one now and one later for the other tub. Hindsight and all that....

After I rearranged the lights in the tent I have been monitoring temps closely. With some strategic placement of fans and exhaust/duct the temps in the tent (doors open always) are as follows:
Autocob side - 72-74 degrees F during lights on
HID side - ranges from 77-81 deg F lights on
I have begun pushing the cool air on the autocob side to the other side to cool it down some
This is amazing to me! The temps outside are approaching 100 F. With all cobs my electric bill would go down. Drastically.

@BigSm0 would you recommend any other spectrum in addition to the 3500k citi? I am looking to swap out my hps for more autocobs in a bit. I am thinking of running 4 autocobs on either side of the 8x4 tent with a 315w cmh in the middle of the tent. I believe the cmh is 4000k or there about.

I am thinking I can run 8 autocobs and the cmh putting me at 755 watts in lighting to fill the tent pretty nicely. But it is only 755 watts!

Thanks bro I am about out of $ so it's all systems go from here. I really want to ditch the tent, I just feel like it is a waste. I have more height if I hang lights from the ceiling.

I just need 16 more cobs, ditch the tent and fill the room with soil. Keep an aisle in the middle for a lounge chair and surround myself with giants :smoking:
Now that I think about it, I can sell the tent and hid lights. Buy a few more cobs....I think I am addicted to growing and need help
